After nearly half an hour of frenzied cries, fierce fighting, and deafening clamor, the battle finally ended with a scream of agony.
As it turned out, ten Claymores really did have the strength to defeat an Abyssal One!
So it went without saying that more than twenty Claymores could do even better.
In short!
Under the powerful assault and beating delivered by the elite Claymores led by Elena and Miria, even someone as strong as that "Dust Eater," Cassandra—even a Warrior from one of the previous generations, even the new strongest Abyssal One—had to meet her end there, reduced once more to a gruesome, motionless corpse assembled and stitched together from countless fragments.
Still, even though they had successfully eliminated an Abyssal One, Elena, Miria, and the others didn't think much of it, nor did they consider it some great achievement.
After having Cynthia and the others tend to the wounded, they simply continued deeper into the Organization, heading toward its central area. They planned to wipe out the leaders, enforcers, Black-clad Agents, Claymore instructors, researchers, and all the other creatures hiding in the depths of the nest, so they could accomplish their primary goal of completely destroying the Organization!
Of course, they also had another very important reason for coming here and fighting all this time: to rescue their comrade Clare, who had been captured by the Organization and subjected to several more days of torture, leaving her on the brink of death!
They were determined to find her alive—or at least recover her body!
However...
Just as the more than twenty of them charged all the way into the Organization's meeting hall, they were shocked to discover that the Organization's leaders, enforcers, Black-clad Agents, Claymore instructors, servants, and all those assorted researchers had turned into corpses, strewn haphazardly
