In the boundless universe, a beautiful ship with a sleek, pure-white oval design drifted silently through deep space, like a lonely snowflake surrounded on all sides by the endless darkness.
Calling such a ship a drop in the ocean would have been an exaggeration. In truth, its existence was utterly insignificant compared to the universe.
However, if anyone came close enough to see it with the naked eye, they would easily notice that its smooth, white hull and elegant design stood out sharply against the deep, dark backdrop of space. Yet it was also strangely beautiful. Just looking at it could bring a sincere sense of comfort, as if one had found a small solace in the vastness of the universe.
Unfortunately...
There was no one here besides the ship, and no other vessels were anywhere nearby—or fortunate enough to discover it.
Beneath the pitch-black sky, the white ship was surrounded by utter silence, as if it had been swallowed by eternal quiet.
Adrift in this immeasurably vast, dark universe, it seemed that existence itself—and even time and space—had lost all meaning. Only the boundless darkness and loneliness remained, circling the ship as if intent on swallowing it forever.
But the opposite was true.
The darkness had not swallowed it.
At that moment, it was still speeding silently along its original course. It wasn't moving at the speed of light, but it could travel hundreds of millions of miles in an instant. Yet that speed meant nothing in the vast, empty depths of space, where there were no points of reference. The ship still seemed as motionless as ever.
As far as the eye could see, the space around it remained pitch-black, save for the stars that appeared close but were, in fact, unimaginably distant, twinkling faintly in the dark.
