Annie had always been the sort to do whatever came to mind. So after telling Darius what she needed to, she didn't bother explaining anything further. She simply told him to wait for orders, then immediately piloted her multipurpose Banshee, a specially outfitted craft capable of flying freely in space and atmosphere, back to the mining base on Canopy Star.
Next, she didn't linger at the mining base. Taking advantage of the temporary ceasefire between Horus's forces on the outskirts of the Ruins Market and the defenders of the second base, she gathered a large force: dozens of Vikings and Banshees, accompanied by more than twenty Medivacs. Then, in a great rush, they flew south toward a certain location.
Her grand-scale operation naturally sent Horus's troops outside the Ruins Market into a flurry of activity.
Then, one of the uneasy commanders in Horus's army immediately dispatched a squadron of heavy Valkyrie interceptors to follow and watch them from afar, as if afraid Canopy Star's forces might use the temporary ceasefire to hatch some plot against them.
The flight leader reported the situation to Annie at once, but she didn't care in the slightest. She didn't take those bad guys who could only trail along at a distance seriously at all.
And so the two sides flew south in a mighty procession. Canopy Star's fighter formation raced ahead, while the few fighters from Horus's side followed timidly far behind. They flew for nearly two hours, until they reached the skies over a city on another stretch of land across the sea to the south. The escorting Vikings and Banshees began using ground-attack weapons to scour the area, clearing a section of the ruined city. Only after they had blasted and burned all the Warp Daemons, corrupted corpse puppets, and Chaos monsters
