Ravenclaw's Tactics
At noon, even though more than an hour had passed, plenty of students eating in Hogwarts's Great Hall were still discussing the astonishingly short Quidditch Match from earlier that day.
What was more?
At Ravenclaw's long table, several students in blue-and-black Ravenclaw House robes were whispering among themselves:
"This is unbelievable!"
"You've all heard about it, right?"
"That little girl, Annie, that first-year player—she caught the Golden Snitch in five seconds!"
"Merlin!"
"Only five seconds?"
"At first, I thought Gryffindor Quidditch Team would get thrashed just like last year. And since their opponents were Slytherin, I didn't bother going to watch. What a shame..."
"Captain!"
"I was there!"
"Oh!"
"Then tell us what happened!"
"Well..."
"I was talking to my girlfriend, Monasha, and wasn't paying attention. I turned my head for a moment, and the match was over."
"I was completely stunned. I didn't see what happened at all!"
"What?"
"Then you might as well not have gone!"
"Haha..."
From the conversation, it was clear they were members of the Ravenclaw Quidditch Team. One of them was even their captain, Roger Davies.
Of course, who they were wasn't important. What mattered was that after the Ravenclaw student who had gone to the match—but apparently missed the most exciting part—awkwardly scratched his head with a sheepish smile, the group paused for a moment, then continued eating and talking:
"Me too!"
"I was there as well!"
"Honestly, Captain, I still can't quite believe it. That little girl is incredibly skilled. She's a real genius."
"I remember it clearly. She caught the Snitch in about five seconds!"
"No!"
"If we're being precise, it was two seconds?"
"Because when the whistle blew, none of the Gryffindors moved. Everyone thought they'd already given up on the match."
