On a high mountain west of Dragonbone Village, Shattered Star wore a lightweight combat outfit, a sleek modern longbow slung across her back and a dozen arrows in her quiver. She was intently watching the sky tens of thousands of meters ahead through a pair of tactical binoculars.
The Lighthouse was moving toward Dragonbone Village. Since White Elder couldn't step away from monitoring Mark's ritual, he'd asked her to take care of the necessary arrangements, such as keeping an eye on the Lighthouse and making sure the Awakened on watch were prepared and alert.
After giving instructions at a border outpost, Shattered Star was still a little uneasy. So she'd personally brought a few members of the Awakened patrol to this spot to keep watch at close range.
