The Lands Between were a complicated world. Before Annie left, she'd done her best to put everything in order, even leaving behind a certain young lady she'd turned into a little girl. But there were probably still plenty of things there that hadn't turned out as she'd hoped.

Frieren furrowed her brow, mulling over the name of the world Annie had mentioned in passing. She nodded, then shook her head, as though she wasn't quite sure what she meant to express. Only then did she sigh gravely.
"So, then..."
"The Archmage in your family has reached the point where she can freely travel between different planes?"
"That's an incredible level of power!"
Frieren sighed in amazement, completely unaware that the "greatest Arcane Archmage ever" she was talking about was standing right in front of them—and that it was Annie herself!

Fern, however, was focused on something else. She couldn't comprehend what it meant to be a mage capable of traveling between planes the way her teacher could. After hearing Annie's explanation, she simply widened her eyes and pressed on.
