Among those present were Nick Fury, representing the Bear Shield Bureau; Level Ten Agent Maria Hill and Level Nine Agent Phil Coulson; Iron Man Tony Stark and Captain Steve Rogers, representing the Avengers; Quake Daisy Johnson, who was said to be able to shatter the Earth; Sally Whitemane, Grand Archbishop of the Church of the Holy Light, and Highlord Renault Mograine, the paladin who was her brother and partner, the two of them having come to Earth and never left; General Thaddeus Ross and Commodore Glenn Talbot, representing the United Nations military; Professor Charles Francis Xavier and Wolverine Logan Howlett, representing the X-Men; Magneto Erik Lehnsherr, representing the Mutant Liberation Front; and Blackagar Boltagon, Black Bolt of the Inhumans, along with his queen, Medusalith Amaquelin Boltagon, and others.

In short, all the major figures with any standing had shown up at the Bear Shield Bureau's headquarters on the far side of the Moon that day, packing the not-so-small conference room to the brim... And there was clearly only one topic on the agenda: the huge, fearsome figure projected in the middle of the room by a holographic projector—Thanos!
