Arkham Asylum's full name was: Elizabeth Arkham's Mental Hospital for Criminally Insane Patients!

It was located in a hidden forest on the outskirts of Gotham City. Its defenses were exceptionally complete, and it was mainly sponsored and operated by Wayne Enterprises. Its internal facilities were also fully equipped and highly advanced. With ample funding, it was no ordinary asylum, nor was it known to ordinary citizens.

Because this mental hospital, this research center for abnormal humanity, housed criminals who were, for the most part, extremely dangerous, highly intelligent offenders! It could be said that nearly every notorious supervillain defeated and captured by Batman was personally sent here by him in the end!

Among those currently imprisoned in this asylum was the infamous "Joker," along with numerous other extremely dangerous individuals!

It was no exaggeration to say that everyone imprisoned here was a heinous criminal who could have been sent to the gallows or the electric chair!

Yet in the end, they were all sent to this prison-like asylum...

Whatever Batman's reasons were, whether personal desire, a wish to display his achievements, or something else, the countless murderers and criminals responsible for innumerable tragedies had ultimately escaped legal judgment through the immense influence of Batman and Wayne Enterprises, only to be imprisoned here under the laughable label of "mental patients."

After all...

The mentally ill were not legally responsible for their actions. That was a normal legal principle the whole world had to follow, wasn't it?
