The huge explosion and faint tremor coming from the first-floor lobby of the "Mizawa Cram School" building had been clearly heard and felt by Kamijou Touma and Stiyl Magnus as they ran all the way up to the fifth floor! But even so, they didn't stop. They kept sprinting upward without so much as pausing to catch their breath.

"Hey! Your Excellency the Mage Stiyl, what was that explosion downstairs?"
Huff! Huff!
As he chased after the red-haired magician, Kamijou Touma asked anxiously.
His breathing was still fairly steady. For Kamijou Touma, who often showed off on the streets or played the hero and ended up being chased all over the place by delinquents, climbing a few flights of stairs now and then was a physical challenge he could just about handle as a strong, healthy high school boy.
Having gotten used to being chased, he'd long since developed a set of tricks that worked well for escaping. He knew that at this level of exertion, all he needed was long, steady breaths through his nose and an even pace! That way, he wouldn't wear himself out too quickly and could keep running with the other man all the way to the top floor.
Of course, running alongside the other man was just something he'd done instinctively. He still hadn't figured out what he was supposed to do once they reached the top floor.
