Without anyone to organize or control them, the Undead quickly scattered, and the important little town of Corin's Crossing had, at long last, been barely held.

According to the rough count made by the Lordaeron soldiers as they cleared the battlefield, they had burned at least five thousand Undead "corpses"! Of course, perhaps they couldn't really be called corpses—at most, they were the Undead's "bodies." After all, every Undead capable of moving was, in truth, already a corpse. Those foul-smelling things could hardly be called living creatures. They could only keep moving.

So,

if they included the Undead reduced to ash by that Granger Witch's terrifying giant fireballs, then they had killed nearly ten thousand Undead in all during the defense of Corin's Crossing. Most of them had been fragile Skeletons and slow-moving Zombies, but for the Lordaeron soldiers of Corin's Crossing, it was still a great and heartening victory!
