Background / History
Qiao Feng arrives at the Beggar Clan’s Righteous Branch shortly after becoming sworn brothers with Duan Yu. As the clan’s Chief, he is greeted by the assembled disciples and takes command of the confrontation involving Bao Butong, Feng Bo’e, and the Beggar Clan elders. He subdues the combatants rather than escalating the conflict. 15 16 17
At Apricot Forest, Quan Guanqing and others expose the wolf-head tattoo on Qiao Feng’s chest as evidence of Khitan ancestry. Although he initially struggles to accept this claim, the Beggar Clan’s respect for his character remains significant. 17 18
At the Heroes’ Gathering in Juxian Village, Qiao Feng is accused of murdering his adoptive parents and master. Enraged by betrayal and the accusations against him, he fights the gathered experts, overpowering Elder Tan and Madam Tan and seriously injuring Chen Feng in their exchange. 21 22
Chen Feng’s deductions lead Qiao Feng to confront a masked man later revealed as Xiao Yuanshan, his biological father. Xiao Yuanshan confirms both their relationship and his own responsibility for the killings of Qiao Feng’s adoptive parents and Master Xuanku. 23
Torn between his Khitan heritage and his Han upbringing, Qiao Feng departs Juxian Village with Xiao Yuanshan. He later returns as “Xiao Mou,” accepts his Khitan identity, and resolves to ascend Shaolin with his father to settle the grievances from thirty years earlier. Afterwards, he intends to remain at Juxian Village, guard the martial-arts manual, and atone for his father’s crimes. 24 25
