They had to kill Patri Vic as soon as possible. If a Devil Fruit User with multiple powers were allowed to grow stronger, the threat he posed to the Marines would be terrifying.
Kong's muscles bulged as he charged forward again and resumed his fight with Patri Vic.
Patri Vic wielded the Thunder Blade, its lightning constantly tearing through Kong's body and dealing him considerable damage.
But Kong was like a maddened beast, attacking Patri Vic without regard for his own safety.
"Swish, swish, swish!!!"
Though this was Patri Vic's first time wielding a blade, he had sparred with Whitebeard for a long time and had picked up some swordsmanship.
He swung the Thunder Blade repeatedly, attacking Kong while keeping his distance so Kong couldn't get close.
"Bang!"
Kong lunged forward, emanating the aura of a primeval beast, and slammed a heavy punch into Patri Vic.
Patri Vic's body shot backward like a meteor, flying nearly a hundred meters.
He smashed through countless trees, leaving a hundred-meter-long trench in his wake.
Patri Vic crossed his arms in front of him, covering them with Armament Haki to withstand Kong's attack. White smoke rose from his arms.
"There's quite a gap between our Armament Haki," Patri Vic said with a frown.
For the past two years, he had focused on training his abilities and had neglected his Haki training somewhat.
So his Armament Haki was nowhere near the level of a powerhouse like Kong.
That single punch had left his arms numb.
Kong pressed his advantage, using Shave to move at high speed and appear in front of Patri Vic in an instant.
"Boom!"
Patri Vic flew backward, leaving his spot just as a huge crater appeared where he had been, billowing with smoke.
Kong braced his leg, then sprang out of the crater and charged at Patri Vic.
With Patri Vic in midair, there was nowhere to dodge. He swung his fist to meet the attack.
"Boom!"
Their fists collided. The immense force shattered the ground beneath them, sending countless cracks racing in every direction like a vast rift valley.
Their fists remained locked for only a few seconds before Patri Vic felt his arm starting to tear.
Kong's arm strained with force, sending Patri Vic flying backward once more. He slammed into the ground, leaving a huge crater.
"Have you reached your limit, Patri Vic?" Kong landed and sneered.
"Ding! Congratulations, Host. Hashirama Senju's character completion has reached 30%. Water Release unlocked!"
Patri Vic had just unlocked Water Release while lying in the crater, and his status panel appeared.
Patri Vic opened his status panel.

"A water dragon?"
Kong was stunned when he saw the dragon rushing toward him.
How had Patri Vic suddenly gained the ability to use water?
The water dragon packed tremendous force. While Kong was frozen in shock, it slammed into him and swallowed him whole.
Trapped inside the water dragon, Kong couldn't breathe. The veins in his arms bulged as he attacked it with powerful punches.
"Bang!"
His punch shattered the water dragon, and countless streams of water crashed to the ground. He could breathe fresh air again.
"You...!"
Kong no longer knew how to describe what he was feeling.
If he hadn't seen it with his own eyes, he never would have believed it.
A nearly all-powerful monster capable of controlling the forces of nature had appeared on the seas.
"That's a pretty good ability."
Patri Vic leaped out of the crater and landed on the ground, his expression calm.
"Calling you a monster isn't enough. You're practically a demon."
Kong couldn't get over his shock.
Patri Vic had used six completely different abilities. It had turned Kong's entire understanding of the world upside down.
Could someone like this really exist? That was the only thought in Kong's mind.
He still couldn't believe it. Everything felt like a dream, yet right before him stood a monster capable of using six Devil Fruits.
Patri Vic hardly seemed like a person from this world.
Kong's imagination ran wild. Patri Vic wasn't human at all; he was a demon from within a Devil Fruit.
Somehow, he had taken human form and was now devouring his own kind to gain power.
It was a ridiculous idea, but it was the only explanation Kong could come up with.
"To be given a title like that by the Marines—I'm truly flattered," Patri Vic said calmly.
He knew he had finally attracted the Marines' full attention.
"What do you want from this world, demon?"
Kong had even changed what he called Patri Vic.
"Nothing. Rocks is the one who wants to rule the world, not me," Patri Vic said indifferently.
He had no particular ambitions for this world, but if anyone dared to provoke him, he wouldn't back down.
After all, he was now strong enough to face anyone head-on.
