Background

Vic is a transmigrator from another world who arrived in the One Piece world as Patri Vic. The God-Tier Template System assigned him the Hashirama Senju template, which develops through training and combat. He spent two years on Hachinosu Island before the system awakened, initially working in a tavern under Whitebeard's protection. His early ambition was simply to survive among Hachinosu's far stronger pirates 1 3.

Whitebeard recognized Vic's rapid growth and encouraged him to use the Rocks Pirates as a training ground. Vic joined as a probationary member, trained in Armament and Observation Haki under Whitebeard, and eventually became a Rocks Pirates cadre 7 13 27.

Vic's ability to wield several apparently unrelated powers led observers to believe that he had consumed multiple Devil Fruits. His battles with Roger made that reputation public, while the Navy identified him as an exceptional long-term threat 27 35 36.

At God Valley, Vic fought leading Navy officers and later killed Rocks. He concealed Rocks' corpse and emerged as the dominant pirate force after the Rocks Pirates' collapse 127 130 131 134.

Afterward, Vic established himself around Seven Water Capital, where he collected Devil Fruits, developed his Ice-Ice Fruit, trained Oden and Moria, and commissioned Pluton warships. His actions brought him into repeated conflict with CP0, the World Government, and Navy Headquarters 146 150 157 159.

Appearance

Vic is described as a 1.89-meter-tall man. His expression and eyes are repeatedly portrayed as cold or intimidating, particularly when confronting enemies 190 234.

  • Uses purple steam while enhancing his physical abilities 3 6.
  • Carries the Demon Sword God Slasher 112.
  • Can manifest Ice Armor over his body 151.
  • Awakens scarlet Mangekyo Sharingan eyes when using Amaterasu 196.

Personality

Vic is composed and self-assured in battle, rarely showing fear even when surrounded by powerful opponents. He favors decisive action, intimidation, and overwhelming force, but will retreat or evade when a direct clash is strategically unfavorable 48 160 238.

He is ruthless toward threats, imposters, and hostile pirates, yet he also protects people he considers his own. He rescues Nico Olvia, frees people enslaved by impersonators, absorbs the cold harming Oden and Moria, and repeatedly invests time in training subordinates 149 152 185 257.

Vic is highly strategic. He uses clones, deception, terrain, and calculated alliances rather than relying solely on his raw strength. He also seeks long-term advantages through Devil Fruit collection, Pluton construction, and cultivating powerful followers 49 157 164 294.
