Background / History

Drawn out by the blood spilled into the great river during the conflict between the Mist Blades and Longevity Cult, the Flood Dragon emerged alongside several giant Water Pythons. It preyed on Iron-skinned Monoceros Crocodiles before moving on the nearby Mist Blades outpost, where it swallowed Gray Dwarves, Rock Gnomes, Ox Tribe warriors, and Wolf Tribe warriors. 44

The creature entered the stronghold after the Mist Blades assassins withdrew. Its assault prompted Wu Tie to return to protect fleeing Gray Rock Gnome children. Wu Tie and Old Tie wounded the Flood Dragon: Old Tie cracked its forehead, Wu Tie drove a spear into the wound, and Wu Tie's newly awakened Vast Righteousness Divine Ability crushed its skull and knocked off both horns. The injured dragon fled downstream. 45 46

The Flood Dragon recovered in a wetland near the lava fissure, coiled beneath a Seven-Colored Crystal and feeding on the viscous liquid dripping from it. The crystal's Life Essence rapidly restored its scales, skull, and horns, but Old Tie identified the creature as contaminated and insisted that it be eliminated. 48

When the Mist Blades launched a dragon-slaying expedition, the Flood Dragon resisted with poisonous gas, dark blue-black flames, rapid regeneration, and a sudden evolution into a four-legged form. Repeated explosive arrows and poisoned throwing knives depleted it; the Mist Blades Grand Commander then drove a straight saber through its skull and froze its brain, killing it. 49

Appearance

Before its final evolution, the Flood Dragon resembled an immense Water Python, but its horns, eyes, tongue, and supernatural presence marked it as something beyond an ordinary beast. 44

The Flood Dragon was strong enough to overwhelm armed tribal warriors, crush small attackers by rolling over them, and swallow dozens of people in a single breath.

When heavily wounded, the Flood Dragon unleashed dark blue-black flames from within its body.

The Flood Dragon healed by consuming fluid produced by the Seven-Colored Crystal.
