Background / History

Old Tie is first found as an oversized white metal skull buried in the underground wonderland. After scanning Wu Tie and learning of his father’s and brothers’ deaths, he exploits the boy’s desire for revenge to convince him to keep living, cultivate, and follow his commands. He names himself “Old Tie” because his body is made of metal, while giving Wu Tie the familiar nickname “Xiao Tie” 8.

He later identifies himself as Bian Que, the ninth-generation medical-type Ancient Divine Weapon. Despite this designation, he demonstrates extensive knowledge of combat, survival, weaponry, cultivation, and battlefield tactics. He later admits that Yang Jian demoted him to a medical role after he violated battlefield discipline, and declares himself a former combat genius of the White Tiger Army’s Death Squad 9 38 45.
