Chapter 26: Star Vein Build Combinations
Primordial Altar.
Summoning the function panel, Qi Sheng began to browse player-posted content.
After two days of development, the number of players communicating on the forum had grown.
The hottest topic was the discussion surrounding the new building in Emperor's Tomb Village, the "Testing Tower."
The Testing Tower built this time incorporated 729 known Primordial Abilities, allowing players to combine and match various types of monster soul fragments in a simulated environment to construct their preferred growth build.
After two days of testing, many powerful builds had already been developed and shared by players on the forum.
Currently, Qi Sheng was browsing the most popular strategy-sharing post.
[After two days in the simulator, I'm sharing a few Star Vein build combinations I've put together.]
Poster: Black Night Long
Content: The monster-grinding outside is too crazy, and as a newbie, I'm trembling. So, I spent two days playing with build simulations in the beginner village and am sharing three powerful build combinations. Since my Body Tempering level is 0, the highest simulation option only allows for the combination of 8 monster soul fragments. Therefore, each build is constructed from 8 monster soul fragments. In the future, with a higher level, these three builds will have even more potential for expansion and enhancement.
First is a build constructed around Stone Gargoyle as the core, which I call "Immobile Undying Flow."
(Attachment: Video file.)
Qi Sheng clicked on the video, and a light screen immediately popped up within the forum interface.
In the video, a player named Black Night Long was performing Star Vein enchanting.
In the eight Star Vein slots, he sequentially embedded Stone Gargoyle (contained), Taunt (contained), Revival, Thorns, Ice Bone, Bloodthirst, Fire Sickle, and Black Armor Snake (contained).
After completing the Star Vein construction, Black Night Long turned to the camera:
"First, I'll show you the specific effects of each Primordial Ability to facilitate the subsequent simulation test performance."
The camera then zoomed in on the Star Vein enhancement interface:
Petrification (Active): After using the ability, enter an immobile Petrification state, greatly reducing damage from any form of attack. The specific effect is influenced by physical fitness.
Taunt (Active): Release a psychic shockwave centered on yourself. Targets hit will experience a large amount of memory-altered plot based on their own memories (release range can be controlled). The caster will become a part of the altered memory (only effective on intelligent lifeforms above level 1).
Revival (Passive): Activate life potential, greatly increasing the body's self-healing efficiency. The specific effect is influenced by monster level.
Thorns (Passive): Protected by the power of Thorns, a portion of physical damage taken is reflected back to the attacker. The specific effect is influenced by physical strength.
Ice Bone (Passive): When taking damage, inflict a freezing effect on the target, slowing down the target's action efficiency.
Bloodthirst Brand (Passive): Centered on yourself, Bloodthirst Brand continuously absorbs the vitality of nearby targets and converts it into healing energy to repair bodily damage. The coverage of Bloodthirst Brand is influenced by physical strength.
Fire Sickle (Active): Centered on yourself, continuously burn nearby units. The specific damage value is influenced by physical strength.
Venom (Passive): Physical damage of any form is accompanied by a poisoning effect, causing continuous damage to the target. The specific effect is influenced by the Black Armor Snake's form level.
"The idea behind building this set is to use the Taunt ability to draw aggro, attracting nearby targets to attack me, then activating the Petrification ability to greatly reduce damage taken. After that, Revival provides continuous healing, Thorns reflects damage taken, then Bloodthirst Brand continuously heals by absorbing vitality from nearby injured units, and Ice Bone provides area control. Fire Sickle and Venom deal continuous damage."
"I want to emphasize the Venom characteristic of Black Armor Snake here. The effect is that all physical damage carries a poisoning effect. The Thorns effect in this Star Vein build reflects a portion of the physical damage taken, so the combination of Black Armor Snake and Thorns can poison the attacker while taking damage."
"Next is the simulated combat demonstration."
As he finished speaking, Black Night Long opened the simulation interface, summoned 100 Blood Wolves, and entered combat mode.
Facing the fiercely attacking Blood Wolves, Black Night Long decisively activated Taunt. Immediately, a psychic illusion automatically constructed around him, and the Blood Wolves' eyes turned blood red.
Then, the Petrification ability was activated. Black Night Long's body was enveloped in a layer of black substance, entering an immobile state.
Under the fierce assault of the Blood Wolves, red damage-dealing characters and green healing characters simultaneously popped up above Black Night Long's head.
And every time a Blood Wolf bit Black Night Long, a new wound appeared on its body, with poison, ice, and burn elemental damage popping up above its head, along with white damage from the Thorns reflection.
The blood flowing from the injured Blood Wolves was drawn by "Bloodthirst Brand," turning into wisps of blood that floated towards Black Night Long, with green healing characters popping up above his head.
In the combat demonstration, Black Night Long's health bar consistently fluctuated between 98%-100%, and the fierce attacks of the Blood Wolf pack posed no threat to him.
In less than five minutes, all the nearby Blood Wolves were dead, and Black Night Long's health bar had returned to 100%.
Black Night Long then looked at the camera (Guiding Water Orb) and grinned, saying:
"This is why I call this Star Vein combination 'Immobile Undying Flow,' isn't it strong?"
The video demonstration ended here, and a large number of players commented below the video:
Bard: Too powerful! With this build, you can go wherever there are many monsters and just stand there to kill nearby targets.
I Choose Black Armor Snake: Blown away, what kind of divine build is this? A blessing for lazy people. Just stand in a place with lots of monsters and level up while browsing forum posts and watching videos.
Strongest Newbie: Holy crap, I really want to go for this build, but besides Black Armor Snake, Taunt, and Stone Gargoyle, I haven't contained the other five monster soul fragments yet. I don't know where to find Primal Monsters with these characteristics.
Closing the video page, Qi Sheng continued to browse the subsequent content.
In addition to the most discussed Immobile Undying Flow, Black Night Long also provided two other builds in the post.
He named them Shadow Legion Flow and One-Hit Kill Flow, respectively.
Among them, the Shadow Legion Flow build was constructed around the "Shadow Summon" in the soul fragment library.
The effect of Shadow Summon's ability is to summon shadow warriors imprisoned by Di Zhao in the shadow realm to fight for the user. The specific number and strength of summoned units are affected by the user's mental strength.
With this as the core, Black Night Long selected seven Fate Souls with group buff effects for embedding.
The combat mode is very simple.
At the start, summon a group of shadow warriors, then apply buffs to them one by one: Evil Blade (weapon enhancement), Cloud Dragon (movement speed enhancement), Evil Armor (defense enhancement), Rage (physical quality enhancement)...
By stacking buffs, the combat power of the shadow warriors is greatly enhanced, making their strength multiply.
This playstyle is also a boon for lazy players. Once the buffs are stacked, you can just watch the shadow warriors perform without needing to participate in the fight yourself.
Many players left comments under the video, expressing their love for this playstyle.
The last One-Hit Kill Flow is a Star Vein playstyle built around the Fate Soul Deterioration.
The effect of Deterioration is to greatly enhance the effect and duration of various damage-over-time effects.
The characteristic of this playstyle is that as long as you hit the target, you can decisively disengage. The target will be afflicted with a series of damage-over-time statuses such as Deterioration, poisoning, and death erosion, eventually succumbing to death under the catalysis of time.
In the demonstration battle, Black Night Long landed a normal attack on a level 28 Fallen Sickle Monster and then decisively retreated.
The Fallen Sickle's head was constantly hit with negative damage numbers, and its wounds rapidly festered and spread throughout its body. Soon, it fell to the ground and died.
This post quickly rose to the top of the forum's hot topic list.
It sparked strong interest among many players in building Star Vein playstyles.
A large number of players followed suit and joined, constructing various Star Vein playstyle variations in the simulation environment.
To the players' regret.
In the simulation environment, the initial build for Star Vein can only embed 8 Fate Souls, making it impossible to embed more to construct a stronger playstyle.
Furthermore, most of the Fate Souls in the simulation library have not been collected, leaving players unsure where to hunt the Primal Monsters possessing these abilities.
However, the emergence of various playstyles has also given players expectations for their future growth directions.
The introduction of 729 Primal Abilities in the simulation library only represents a portion of Di Zhao's decomposed power. There are still many unknown Primal Monsters waiting for players to find and collect.
It can be foreseen that with continuous game updates, more refined Star Vein playstyle combinations will emerge.
