Kitahara Kaede’s diary reveals the coming war as Uchiha Madara overwhelms the Allied Shinobi Forces, while the Chunin Exams collapse into Orochimaru’s attack on Konoha. As the village’s leaders battle the revived Kage, Kaede confronts Danzō and repeatedly kills him as he tries to escape.

• Minato Namikaze rescued Kakashi and Rin after Obito Uchiha gave Kakashi his Sharingan, while Kitahara Kaede learned that Gekko Hayate had been murdered and warned that he might be targeted.
• Uchiha Madara emerged from Impure World Reincarnation and crushed the Allied Shinobi Forces with Susanoo, the Rinnegan, two meteors, and Wood Style.
• Kitahara Kaede began the Chunin Exams, where Uzumaki Naruto defeated Hyuga Neji and Second Pillar faced Gaara before the Konoha Collapse Plan began.
• Orochimaru abducted the Third Hokage and summoned Senju Hashirama, Senju Tobirama, and Rasa, while Kitahara Kaede sent Sasuke and the others after Gaara and his siblings.
• Kitahara Kaede fought through Root headquarters and confronted Shimura Danzō, killing Yamanaka Fu and Yamanaka Torune before taking Uchiha Shisui’s Mangekyō Sharingan from Danzō.

Kitahara Kaede helped crush the invasion and killed Danzō, while Sasuke learned the truth of Itachi’s sacrifice and awakened Mangekyō Sharingan. The arc left Sasuke free to pursue Obito as Kakashi warned him of Nagato and the Otsutsuki threats ahead.

• Kitahara Kaede escaped Danzō’s Reaper Death Seal, destroyed Root, and later defeated Kakuzu while his clones helped turn the invasion battle in Konoha’s favor.
• Kitahara Kaede stopped Shukaku, returned Gaara and his siblings to Konoha, and saw Sunagakure surrender after Orochimaru’s deception came to light.
• The Third Hokage stepped down, and Tsunade, Jiraiya, and Kakashi discussed Kitahara Kaede’s suspected destruction of Root and the dangers of the Diaries.
• Naruto and Killer B encountered Kabuto’s reanimated Itachi and Nagato, while Sasuke learned that Itachi had massacred the Uchiha under Konoha’s orders to protect him and the village.
• Sasuke awakened his Mangekyō Sharingan but rejected killing loved ones for power, and he accepted that Itachi still cared for him.
• Itachi broke free of Kabuto’s control through Shisui’s Kotoamatsukami, helped defeat Nagato, and urged Naruto not to bear the burden of peace alone.
