The Zerg's Strength

There were quite a few Plasma Bugs inside the largest Overlords. Each Overlord carried twenty of them, and with all seven Overlords deployed, they formed a force of 140 Plasma Bugs.

Once they crawled out of the Overlords, they immediately began sweeping everything around them. Their Plasma Cannons, formed from Plasma Liquid, pounded the sky and the ground without pause.

The Banshi Beasts and aircraft in the sky were all within range of their attacks. Their range on the ground was even wider, putting everything in the forest within reach as well.

While the Plasma Bugs bombarded everything, the other Overlords also began to open.

When the fifty-meter Overlords opened, large creatures crawled out. They looked like a cross between beetles and ants.

These creatures had hard shells and could charge with considerable force. They weren't particularly large, appearing about the size of an ordinary tank. Each fifty-meter Overlord could hold fifteen Tank Bugs, and the fifty Overlords had produced nearly seven hundred of them.

The Tank Bugs charged toward every side of the island as soon as they appeared. They moved quickly, and if not for the thousand-meter trees, they would have crashed straight through them.

Before long, Liu Zhi and the others spotted the Tank Bugs.

When Liu Zhi had first fought the Zerg, he had received some telepathic communications from the Empire and learned a fair amount about their units. One look told him that this Zerg force must have come from a Level Three hive.

After all, both Plasma Bugs and Tank Bugs were creatures unique to Level Three hives.

Ordinary Level Two hives didn't have the genes for such creatures.

Only after the final, thirty-meter Overlords opened did the standard Level Two hive forces emerge. There were quite a lot of them.
