Discovering Traces of the Zerg

After the Death Ripple, Liu Zhi took a deep breath. Having killed a large number of enemies, he felt refreshed.

What made him even happier was that killing so many enemies had earned him a great deal of experience.

It had replenished all the experience he'd spent earlier to raise the level of the Underworld Ecosystem.

That made Liu Zhi quite pleased. Just as he was about to use Death Ripple again, a thought suddenly occurred to him.

Something was wrong.

The numbers and the experience didn't add up.

Although these Fishmen were from this world, they were still Fishmen. Even if they were somewhat different from the ones Liu Zhi had fought before, they should still have given him some experience—but there was no way each one was worth more than 50 experience.

The amount of experience he'd gained was far too high.

That meant either the Fishmen were worth more experience than they should be, or Death Ripple had hit other creatures as well.

Liu Zhi already had someone in mind: the Zerg forces that Second Lieutenant Ararat had mentioned earlier.

He'd spent all these days searching the seabed for the direction the Zerg had gone and any clues they might have left behind. But after circling the ocean floor countless times, he still hadn't found a trace of them.

Could the Zerg be here?

The thought flashed through Liu Zhi's mind. Looking at the dead Fishmen, he moved a little toward the direction he'd come from and used Summoning through the Magic Array.

Summoning was meant to stimulate Fishman corpses, allowing them to be transformed into undead.

This time, however, Liu Zhi used Summoning over a wide area, targeting all the creatures that had died on the spot.

As he cast the spell, Liu Zhi watched closely.
