As the statue charged toward him, Liu Zhi immediately cast two spells.

Neither spell was particularly offensive, but both could hold an enemy back. The Paladin's invulnerability was only temporary; once it wore off, he would be nothing more than someone wearing Heavy Armor and carrying a shield.

The statue seemed to understand what Liu Zhi was planning. Once ensnared, he swung the longsword in his hand toward Liu Zhi.

A beam of red light descended from the sky, forming a massive hammer of light above Liu Zhi's head. It looked ready to come crashing down.

Videnina stepped in front of Liu Zhi. The six katanas in her hands formed a whirlwind, which swept toward the spot where the hammer was falling.

Under the impact, Videnina felt a sudden weight in her hands and was forced back a step.

She had never experienced anything like this before.
