This book has more or less officially come to an end.
A lot of people wanted to see the Island Raiders storyline... but the content was still too sensitive. The sensitive chapters I wrote before had all been reviewed... After thinking it over, I decided against it.
Everyone's just here for a bit of fun, anyway.
There was no way forward on this path in the Naruto world. Uchiha Nan had already gained the upper hand, and he had a cheat ability, too... Madara Uchiha had no chance at all unless some deus ex machina intervened.
I still have a lot of regrets about this book.
The real ending should have been in Extra Chapter Twenty and the afterword. Of course, I still wasn't satisfied with that ending.
Because there was so much I never got to write. I'd laid a little groundwork earlier, about Sunagakure and Kirigakure...
I'd originally wanted to recreate some fun in Sunagakure... things like a color revolution.
And Kirigakure's Spring in Kirigakure.
The Dragon Vein Arc also got cut down a lot.
A bunch of other things from the outline got skipped, too, but I won't go into them one by one.
I wrapped things up in a rush back then, and a lot of people asked me why.

I was also in graduate school, with a whole pile of things to deal with—exams, reading papers, running experiments, and so on.
