Phew.

Finally, he was back in the village!

After settling matters in the Land of Fire, Uchiha Nan hurried back to Konoha without stopping.

Having left Konoha just one day after taking office as Hokage, Uchiha Nan was worried someone in the village might try to stir up trouble for him.

To take care of the sisters Fu and Rin, he had even specially hired a carriage.

After all, they were just ordinary people. They had no ability to leap across rooftops or travel by hopping through the trees.

However, Uchiha Nan did not make a grand entrance at the Hokage's office. He planned to head home first, settle Fu and Rin in, and hide his beauties away in a golden house!

Social death was bound to come sooner or later, but one had to remember—if you could hide until the fifteenth, then never die on the first!

Uchiha Nan had forgotten to change out of his clothes. The Divine Robe he wore was simply too conspicuous, and Uchiha Tomita spotted him immediately.

"Lord Uchiha Nan, you're back?"

Uchiha Nan lowered his head and quickened his pace.

"Hey! You lot over there, why are you so blind? Hurry up and help the Clan Head lead the carriage, and carry the gifts the Daimyo gave him into the Clan Head's home while you're at it."

Uchiha Tomita called out to several young Uchiha men passing by.

How could such trivial matters as leading a carriage and moving things be allowed to waste Uchiha Nan's time?

Uchiha Tomita was also anxious to reconcile the accounts with Uchiha Nan and reasonably put the extra one billion ryo into the clan's books.

One billion ryo was no small sum. Even the clan's professional accountants needed time to falsify the accounts, and all the receipts involved required Uchiha Nan, the Hokage, to stamp them.

"Got it, Lord Tomita!"

"Coming!"

Fu and Rin clung tightly to each other. Uchiha Nan had instructed them not to speak without his permission. His stern expression had frightened the sisters, leaving them nervous the entire journey. Now, with so many voices suddenly appearing outside, they instinctively pressed closer together.

These were the fucking gifts the Daimyo had sent?

The young Uchiha men's eyes practically popped out of their heads when they saw the twin sisters in the carriage.

Cold sweat poured down Uchiha Tomita's back. Even if someone beat him to death, he never would have imagined that the gifts Uchiha Nan mentioned were this.

"What are you staring at? Close the curtain!"

After settling Fu and Rin in, Uchiha Nan and Uchiha Tomita returned to the Hokage Building to work. They planned to stamp the approvals for the falsified accounts in advance, as requested by the Land of Fire's Finance Minister, so there would be no trouble later.

"How much?"

"How much do you think?"

"Two billion!"

Uchiha Tomita dropped into his chair with a smack. The extra one billion had already been an unexpected delight, but now the amount had directly doubled again.

"Calm down!"

Konoha had to be turned into America before it could attract countless immigrant ninjas to come running!
