Buster Call

"As expected of the Tree of Omniscience, with a history spanning over five thousand years. Truly magnificent."

Leon gazed at the towering tree that nearly covered the entire island, unable to suppress his awe.

Unfortunately, as the world's largest and most richly stocked ancient tree, the Tree of Omniscience would soon be erased from the map along with Ohara Island under the Marines' Buster Call.

The World Government had resolved to destroy the archaeological sanctuary of Ohara as a warning to all: the price of investigating the "Void Century" was death.

The island's residents were already fleeing with their families, scrambling aboard the government's evacuation ships.

"There's no way to land on Ohara Island right now."

Leon stood at the bow of his ship, trying to figure out a reasonable way to get ashore.

Bang!

World Government agents in black suits blasted open the hidden chamber within the Tree of Omniscience and successfully located the historical text concealed there.

The island's scholars had been rounded up beneath the Tree of Omniscience. Spandam dialed the Golden Den Den Mushi, allowing Dr. Clover to hold a final conversation with the Five Elders.

Dr. Clover, showing no respect for the Five Elders, spoke his research findings into the Den Den Mushi.

"The key to all the mysteries—the name of that once-prosperous kingdom is..."

"Kill him!"

Just as Dr. Clover was about to utter that name, the enraged Five Elders ordered his execution on the spot.

Following the Five Elders' instructions, Spandam pulled out the Golden Den Den Mushi granted by Fleet Admiral Sengoku.

The button was pressed.

At Marine Headquarters, the silver Den Den Mushi, appearing long-lived, gnashed its teeth and let out a roar.

The Buster Call was activated!

"All ships, take positions!"

"Prepare to fire!"

Flames engulfed the Tree of Omniscience. The archaeologists, desperate to protect the precious books, charged into the fire without regard for their lives.

Spandam ordered Robin's mother, Nico Olvia, to be dragged away for evacuation.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

The Marines' bombardment had begun.

Even though ordinary civilians and World Government personnel still remained on the island.

But this was the "Buster Call"!

The entire fleet opened fire simultaneously, targeting the entire island of Ohara, the island of archaeology, to prevent knowledge from escaping.

In the name of justice, exterminate the demons of Ohara!

The warship carrying Kuzan also kept firing shells. Kuzan lay expressionless on his deck chair.

Leon stood at the bow, his eyes already locked onto a giant figure as massive as a small mountain.

"Vice Admiral!"

"Vice Admiral Kuzan!"

A Marine holding a telescope broke out in a cold sweat, repeatedly calling Kuzan's name.

"That on the island..."

"There's no doubt it's..."

"So what the hell are you trying to say! Spit it out!"

"Bastard!"

Kuzan yanked himself upright by the neck.

"It's the escaped Vice Admiral Sauro!!!"

"Fire!"

The warships on the shore aimed directly at Sauro and opened fire. Sauro withstood the bombardment, shielding Robin firmly with both hands.

"Sorry, Robin, I scared you."

"Wait for me a moment."

Sauro set Robin down on the ground and charged toward the Marine warships without hesitation.

"Vice Admiral, no!"

"What are you going to do!"

Sauro, like an enraged lion, grabbed the side of the warship.

The Marines on board screamed and scattered in panic. Sauro paid no attention to their pleas for mercy.

"I no longer know what true justice is."

"I just want to protect my friends!"

Flying into a rage, Sauro directly heaved a warship out of the sea with both hands, then slammed it heavily onto another warship anchored nearby.

"Open fire on Sauro!"

Sauro alone drew the Marines' attention. He forced himself to turn his head and shouted for Robin to flee to the government's refuge ship.

On the warship, Kuzan, who had been watching for a while, finally steadied his emotions and said calmly to Leon, "Leon, I'll go stop Sauro..."

"You go rescue the Marines in the water first, then come ashore and meet up with me."

"Huh?" Hearing that Kuzan was about to leave, Leon, who had been planning to sneak onto the island, slowly typed out a question mark.

"I don't think those Marines are in any immediate danger, and sending people onto the warship might mess up the attack rhythm..."

"Then just send them to the government's refuge ship for now."

Kuzan left a word behind, then charged without looking back toward Sauro, who was attacking the Marine warships.

Leon sighed, deciding to toss a couple of unlucky bastards onto the refuge ship as a favor, then slip onto the island in the chaos.

Seeing that Robin, blocked by Spandam, hadn't made it onto the refuge ship, Sauro immediately turned and charged toward the warship where Spandam stood.

"Ice Block: Two-Point Spear!"

Kuzan, his body radiating cold air, struck out and directly pierced Sauro.

"Kuzan..."

Sauro, kneeling on the ground, looked at Kuzan emerging from the smoke.

"Ara ara, if a former Marine member stopped the 'Buster Call'..."

"That would be too embarrassing."

"Kuzan!" Sauro roared from his knees, "Do you take pride in this attack!?"
