Along the way, Saitama stopped five or six crimes, big and small, before successfully arriving at Matt's law firm.
To be honest, this America, although generally not prone to major incidents due to the absence of monsters, still had its fair share of scattered crimes. Saitama even felt that if his previous world hadn't had monsters, its public order might have been better than this America.
"May I help you with something?" a slightly overweight man with a formerly humble smile greeted Saitama as he entered the law firm. This man was Foggy, Matt's partner, and the law firm was their joint venture. However, this was Saitama's first visit, so Foggy didn't recognize him.
"I'm here to see Matt."
"Matt? May I ask who you are?"
"Oh, I'm Saitama--"
Just then, Matt, who was inside, came out and called out to Saitama, "Saitama, I'm here. Foggy, this is one of my clients."
"Oh, I see. In that case, Mr. Saitama, Matt will take over from here."
As Saitama entered the law firm and met Matt, Phil Coulson, who was keeping watch outside, couldn't help but frown upon seeing Saitama.
"Why is this bald Saitama looking for Matt? What's their relationship? According to the files, they shouldn't have any connection. Could there be some unspeakable secret?"
"Most importantly, I've been watching here all this time, and besides Saitama, everyone else who came to see Matt was just an ordinary person. So, could Saitama be the Invisible Man?"
"No, that's not right. If he were the Invisible Man, wouldn't it be better and more discreet to just turn invisible and then visit Matt?"
"It's really strange, but this Saitama is definitely not a simple character. Finding Tony Stark in a place like the Middle East and rescuing him safely is definitely not just luck."
"Therefore, this Saitama is absolutely not that simple."
Phil Coulson analyzed with a frown. As for whether Saitama could be the Invisible Man, Phil Coulson thought it was possible, but not very likely.
In short, Phil Coulson found it a bit of a headache. He had planned to let it go regarding Saitama, letting S.H.I.E.L.D. investigate Saitama incidentally while investigating Tony Stark. But now, it seemed it wasn't that simple.
"Use your connections to thoroughly investigate all the information on this East Asian named Saitama and give it to me," Phil Coulson ordered his subordinate.
"Yes, sir!"
S.H.I.E.L.D.'s influence was immense, and within a very short time, Phil Coulson had obtained all of Saitama's information.
From when Saitama first appeared in New York, to when Saitama moved in with Skye after a heroic rescue, to Saitama's habit of shopping for discounted groceries at supermarkets, to Saitama and Skye selling Tony Stark's business card for their first pot of gold, and finally to Saitama and Skye rescuing Tony Stark, and then buying a house and a high-end RV in Manhattan.
All the information was written very clearly.
However, despite the clear information, Saitama's file was only a meager two pages long, with no other information. Who was Saitama before he appeared in New York? Where did he live? Did he have any family or relatives? All such information was completely absent, as if Saitama had never existed in this world before appearing in New York.
Phil Coulson frowned slightly, "Is this all the information there is about Saitama?"
"Yes, sir. I've already used S.H.I.E.L.D.'s resources, but this is all we could find."
"A blank slate. Who is this Saitama? He's truly not simple." Phil Coulson thoughtfully turned his gaze back to the law firm.
While Phil Coulson was investigating Saitama's information, Saitama had already entered Matt's office with Matt.
"Saitama, why did you suddenly show up here at this time?" Matt asked with a frown and a serious expression.
"Uh, I just wanted to let you know I've moved. Skye said I should at least tell my friends when I move, and I figured you're the only one I can really call a friend, so I came to find you." Saitama scratched his bald head.
"Moved? Did something happen? Did Kingpin find you? Or did someone from the government find you?" Matt's face showed some worry, which was his greatest concern.
"Huh? No, because I saved Mr. One Hundred Million Dollars before, I received One Hundred Million Dollars. Then Skye took me to Manhattan to buy a house, so we'll be living in Manhattan from now on. Hey, hey, hey, Matt, you don't know, the new house in Manhattan is really amazing. It's huge, the decoration is great, and the air conditioning, refrigerator, washing machine, etc., are all top-of-the-line. And..." Saitama's tone carried a hint of boastfulness and excitement.
"...Mr. One Hundred Million Dollars?" Matt was a bit surprised, and he completely ignored Saitama's slight boasting.
"Mhm, mhm, Mr. One Hundred Million Dollars, the one who went missing before. Skye and I took on a mission and rescued him from the Middle East, and that's how we got One Hundred Million Dollars."
"So, the Mr. One Hundred Million Dollars you're talking about is actually Tony Stark?" Matt was taken aback.
"Mhm, mhm. That seems to be the name," Saitama nodded.
"With your abilities, rescuing Tony Stark wouldn't be difficult. Congratulations, you're a rich man now."
"Hehehe, this is the address of my new place. You can come visit if you're free." Saitama handed the address written by Skye to Matt.
Matt took the slip of paper, feeling a bit speechless. While his hearing was indeed excellent and could often substitute for his eyes, he truly had no ability to read paper.
"I think it would be better if you just read the address to me," Matt pointed to his eyes.
"Oh, I forgot you're blind."
"I'm truly sorry for being blind."
"It's okay, it's okay! I'll read it to you. The address is Building XXX, District XXX, Street XXX, Manhattan."
"You bought a house there? It looks like you've really struck it rich. Congratulations."
"Thanks, thanks. Hehe!"
"But you shouldn't have come to me. Kingpin's people have been much more subdued lately, but there's actually another group investigating you. They've even been watching me. I suspect they're monitoring me 24/7, just waiting for you to show up. I didn't expect you to actually come looking for me." Matt shook his head, a bit helplessly.
"Someone is watching you? Are they bad guys? Then I'll help you deal with them."
"No, Saitama, don't. They're government people. A secret government agency. They're not like Kingpin."
"I don't quite understand? But since you say so, then never mind."
