Not long after Liu Hu used the Message Talisman to send a message, a streak of light flashed into existence above the little courtyard in Ping'an Quarter and plunged down like lightning.
Jin Sheng's face was dark, and he was in a foul mood. He planned to give the Liu brothers, Liu Hu and Liu Bao, a good scolding.
He had given the two a Message Talisman solely because they were relatives and he wanted to look out for them.
But he had already made it clear: unless they had something urgent to report or were in grave danger, they were not to use the talisman to contact him.
The Kuangdao Association was in the middle of rebuilding. As Li Kuangdao's right-hand man, Jin Sheng had been so busy lately that his feet barely touched the ground. He didn't want to waste time on some trivial matter involving Liu Hu and Liu Bao.
He had come this time to find out what the brothers wanted.
If they were looking for him over some minor detail, he would take back the Message Talisman and relegate them to the fringes of the Kuangdao Association. He wouldn't keep cultivating them.
They had no sense at all. They weren't worth his support.

Seeing Jin Sheng arrive, Liu Hu found his courage. He immediately began shouting for help, his voice pitiful, as if he had suffered some terrible injustice.
He still couldn't make out Jiang Yan's true standing. He didn't know what sort of relationship Jiang Yan had with the Kuangdao Association or with Jin Sheng, so he didn't dare slander him outright in front of Jin Sheng.
But with his wails, he still managed to hint at what he wanted to say:
