Background / History

Jiang Yan began as a miner and joined the Dahe Gang’s patrol force. After arriving in this world, he encountered possessed beings, Monsters, talismans, and martial artists; these experiences drove his determination to grow stronger rather than remain vulnerable. He used the Martial Arts Modifier to improve the Chopping Iron Four Forms, rapidly becoming a Martial Apprentice and then reaching its peak. 6 11 14

As a Dahe Gang patrolman, Jiang Yan killed the Shepherd Monster and exposed Sheng Fuwu’s attempt to deceive and murder him. After killing Sheng, he returned to Yuyang Village. 18 He later received an identification token as a Junior Officer of Patrol Mountain Hall. 26

Jiang Yan rose through the Dahe Gang and took control of the Jingshui Branch after entering the Body Refining Realm. He injured You Liang and Miao Hong, spared Yun Peiyi upon his surrender, and ordered an investigation into the pair’s embezzlement. 160 He eventually left Guihua City’s limited martial environment behind, seeking stronger cultivation methods and greater opportunities. 266
