Boredom's Crime and Punishment
"Who exactly are you?" Kozato couldn't help but ask when he saw that the surroundings were safe.
"My name is Sawada Tsunayoshi. Well, I guess I have some connection with the Vongola." The main reason is that Tsuna's world is not the world of Reborn!!, and only the Decimo in his mind can be considered a connection with the Vongola.
"Why did the Vongola deceive us, and then save us?" a hot-tempered member of the Simon Family asked. "Are they toying with us?!"
Faced with this person's questioning, Tsuna could only say that he vaguely remembered this part of the plot, and that it was all the work of that mushroom-headed Vongola.
"The Vongola isn't a monolithic entity; everyone has their own agenda. This time, it was the Vongola's Mist Guardian who deceived you."
"D. Spade? Like that man's handiwork." With Tsuna's reminder, Kozato immediately realized.
"That's right. It's not hard to guess why D. Spade attacked you. He wants the Vongola stronger, and Simon has blocked Vongola path," Tsuna explained.
"Then why did you save us?" another person asked.
"The Mist Guardian's decision has nothing to do with the Vongola Boss. He has never intended to harm his comrades. On the contrary, he has already sent his guardians to secretly rescue you."
"Tch, he's two-faced. We should thank him? Why do you have to do this secretly to save people!" another person questioned. Simon's emotions were running high, and Kozato couldn't stop him.
At that moment, in the small village, the Vongola Guardians, led by G, all sneezed in unison.
Helpless, Kozato could only explain along with Tsuna's words, "Because D. Spade is the Mist Guardian of the Vongola, if Giotto forces his way in, it will only cause the Vongola to split into two factions."
"Giotto has just established himself in Italy, and it is absolutely unacceptable for the Vongola to split into two organizations," Kozato added.
Simon's men did not refute Kozato; in fact, they all understood the principle, but they needed an outlet for their emotions after being ambushed repeatedly.
In their view, Kozato was willing to dedicate the entire Vongola family's strength to them, while the Vongola still prioritized their family's interests.
They didn't know what kind of relationship their leader had with the Vongola leader, so they could only trust their leader's judgment based on emotion.
"Sir, Sawada Tsunayoshi, what brings you here?" Kozato wasn't naive enough to think that this unfamiliar Vongola had saved them without any ulterior motive.
"Could I see your Simon's ring?" Tsuna asked, pointing to Kozato's hand.
Suddenly pulled into this battle, Tsuna didn't know how to meet the conditions for Quincy. He only guessed that his Quincy power was related to the Simon Ring, so he could only try to touch the Simon Ring first.
"Kozato, this guy is after Simon's power!" a member quickly stepped in front of Kozato and said.
The Simon Family's rings possess special abilities, and they even used these powers to imitate the Vongola and create six Guardians. Given time, the Simon Family might be able to catch up with the Vongola Family in terms of scale.
Sawada Tsunayoshi's move was clearly aimed at the foundation of the Simon Family, and the members of Simon would never allow it.
"Calm down. If this gentleman wanted to steal our rings, he would have done it already," Kozato said.
That's why Kozato is a leader; he has a clear understanding of the situation. How could they, a bunch of defenseless individuals, possibly defeat Sawada Tsunayoshi effortlessly wiped out the entire Vongola?
Kozato easily removed the Simon Ring and tossed it towards Tsuna.
Tsuna caught the Simon Ring and looked it over. Compared to the Vongola, the Simon Ring seemed much more ordinary. It was a hexagon with a black gem set in the center, and there was nothing strange about it.
Slightly disappointed, Tsuna returned the ring to Kozato, Kozato put it back on and asked, "Looks like you didn't get what you wanted?"
"Yeah, the guy who threw me in here didn't even warn me." Tsuna was speechless; he didn't even know what the conditions were.
"Anyway, thank you for saving the day." Kozato bowed politely in gratitude. "What are your plans now?"
"Me? Should I stay with you for now?" Tsuna wasn't entirely sure either. Only the Simon Family had information related to Quincy, so where else could he go if he didn't follow them? "What about you?"
"Us?" Kozato thought for a moment and laughed. "We should find an island to hide on."
"Leader!" a member of the Simon Family exclaimed urgently.
Kozato gently shook his head, denying their opinion. "After this incident, I realized that we might not be so suited to gang warfare. Finding a place to live in seclusion can also help Giotto. Let's just pretend that the Simon Family is dead."
The Simon Family has thus vanished, and the conflict between the Vongola boss and the Mist Guardian will not be ignited. What kind of relationship did this Kozato have with the First Vongola, that he would go to such lengths for the Vongola?
"Are you content? With such a powerful ring as your backing, it's only a matter of time before the Simon Family rises to power," Tsuna asked with a smile.
The eyes of the rest of the Simon Family lit up; they had never found Tsuna's appearance so pleasing to the eye.
"The power of the ring isn't omnipotent. Aren't we all struggling to breathe under the weight of gunfire here?" Kozato chuckled.
"This incident has also taught me that our Simon Family is not yet capable of protecting our ring," Kozato said, removing the ring. "I intend to take this opportunity to seal the Simon Ring, lest it bring annihilation to the family."
Kozato's actions truly shocked Tsuna. Instead of trying to improve his strength, he sealed away his own power. That's really something...
"So you're not planning to let Simon's Ring see the light of day again?" Tsuna asked curiously.
"No, perhaps when our descendants are capable, that will be the time for them to reappear?" Kozato said idealistically.
Tsuna was somewhat speechless. He asked, "How do you plan to bring them back into the World of the Living in the future?"
"Hehe, do you think that if Giotto and I create a legacy to pass down, as long as Simon and the Vongola are friends, the Simon Ring will still have a chance to see the light of day again?" Kozato said with a grin.
"Sin and punishment?" Tsuna suddenly blurted out these two words, thinking of the two vials of blood that had been passed down in the Vongola and Simon Family.
"Hey, that's a great name!" Kozato exclaimed excitedly. "Mysterious and sophisticated, it's Sin and Punishment."
"I'll find an opportunity to give Giotto a vial of my blood, for that Vongola's crime of attacking their comrades. And I'll have another vial of Giotto's blood circulate within Simon, as punishment for the Simon Family's self-restraint..."
Tsuna's two words seemed to open up Kozato's mind, and one wonderful little idea after another popped into Kozato's head.
"Shut up!" Tsuna suddenly shouted, startling Kozato into stopping his imagination. "Didn't you ever think that if you ancestors continued to play like this, your descendants would turn against each other?"
"How could that be? Why don't we just find an organization to spread the truth? I think the Vindice would be a good fit," Kozato said.
Tsuna's expression turned extremely serious. He stared at Kozato and said earnestly, "First Generation Simon, I can tell you seriously that if you continue like this, the Tenth Generation Vongola and the Tenth Generation Simon will be manipulated, leading to a conflict between the two families."
"One wrong move and both Decimo could have died in that conflict, and the one who caused all of this was that Kirigami Mushroom Head."
Kozato, the mushroom-headed man, couldn't understand. He knew the Mist Guardian, though. "How is this possible? Wait, who are you?"
"Who I am doesn't matter. Give up your foolish game of sin and punishment. What you should do now is not go into seclusion, but go to the First Vongola Boss and explain everything to him. He will handle the issues between the Vongola and the Mist Guardian."
"How could the Vongola possibly help us outsiders?" one of Simon's men questioned.
"Let's gamble. Let's gamble on the bond between your leader and the Vongola. Since your leader is willing to sacrifice his entire family for the Vongola, what's wrong with simply going to see the Vongola?"
"My fellow members of Simon's family, you don't want to see the Simon Family decline and, in the future, trigger a war that will destroy the family, do you?"
The entire Simon Family stared intently at Kozato; without a word, they had made their choice.
"Listen to me, abandon the game of sin and punishment. The friendship between the Vongola and Simon should be passed down through generations, not through those fictitious sins and punishments."
Tsuna's last words completely shattered Kozato's thoughts. Looking at the members around him, he suddenly realized that he was now like Giotto, unable to play around as he pleased, with a group of brothers following him to make a living.
"I understand. I will go and talk to Giotto to make things clear. The sins of the troublemakers within the Vongola Family should be punished by the Simon Family!"
As Kozato finished speaking, his Simon Ring shone brightly, symbolizing the power of the earth being projected onto Tsuna.
Not only Kozato, but the rings of Simon's other six guardians also lit up, and the six different earth elements—swamp, stream, mountain, forest, glacier, and desert—symbolized six different attributes of earth power, shot into Tsuna's body.
With the blessing of the Seven Earth Attributes flames, an indescribable power appeared within Tsuna's body. This power condensed into a single shape—the power of the Saint Letters!
Tsuna's somewhat empty body Quincy power. After smiling and greeting Simon and the others, he disappeared from this world.
The light of the Seven Earth Attributes flames attracted the Vongola Guardians. When G led everyone to the location and found Simon and the others unharmed, he secretly breathed a sigh of relief.
"Kozato!" G, the first Vongola boss's second-in-command and the First Generation Storm Guardian, had barely finished greeting him when he saw Kozato's determined gaze.
"G, take me to see Giotto. I'll speak with him on behalf of the Simon Family to discuss how to deal with the Vongola Mist Guardians. For the sake of the family's stability, eliminating these unstable elements is necessary!"
G was somewhat surprised. In his mind, Kozato was a kind and gentle person. What had happened to change Kozato?
Forget it, let the leader worry about Kozato's matter. It's time to give that troublemaking Mist Guardian a warning.
"Come with us, members of the Simon Family!" G, along with all the Guardians, lifted their cloaks, ready to openly welcome the Simon Family into the Vongola.
