The Price of Reversal
"Reversed Confusion Flash Cannon!"
Hirako has now completely transformed into a pale, almost ethereal figure. His right side still resembles that of the Bleach, while his left side wears a Hollow Visored and has grown the long hair he had over a hundred years ago before his defection.
Hirako's two hands transformed into phantom-like claws. His right hand was pure white, gripping the Sakanade with its Sakanade ring. Around the hilt of the Gakufu were five flames resembling the Senju Kōten Taihō.
Hirako's left side was completely Hollowfication, with ethereal armor draped over his haori. His left hand was a black and red claw completely different from his right. Behind the left half of Hirako's body, there was a black and red device resembling a clock pendulum.
Hirako's right side is a combination of Zanpakuto and Kido power, while his left side is a fusion of Hollow Flash and Kido power. With Kido power as the core, Hirako achieved Beyond Bankai made him half-human and half-demon.
Actually, there was another reason why Hirako was unwilling to reveal his Beyond Bankai: it was simply not a very presentable form. After seeing the Beyond Bankai of other captains, Hirako even thought they were somewhat ugly.
Fortunately, Giselle was the only one around. Even after killing him, he would still be Hirako Shinji, who would never Beyond Bankai.
Hirako had just completed his Beyond Bankai transformation, while the skull on Giselle's side continued to expand, gradually transforming into a colossal creature.
Giselle noticed Hirako's change, of course. He couldn't let Hirako interfere with his evolution now, so he simply took two bones from his ribs and incorporated them into the Spirit Bow, and began to draw the Spirit Bow towards Hirako.
Rather than letting Hirako launch an attack on him, Giselle decided to disrupt Hirako's attack rhythm first, buying herself some time to unleash her power.
With lightning speed, Giselle drew her bow and fired an enhanced Spirit Bow and Arrows at Hirako.
Giselle didn't expect that Hirako wouldn't dodge at all, but just stood there and began to spin his strange Zanpakuto.
Hirako wore a smug smile. All along, because his Bankai ability had caused others to fight each other, his offensive capabilities were far inferior to those of the other captains.
That's why Hirako practiced Kido to enhance his combat abilities, and all of this was resolved after Beyond Bankai; his fear of insufficient firepower was cured by Beyond Bankai.
The Zanpakuto, Sakanade, spun rapidly in front of him, the pink energy on the hilt ring merging into the blade.
The black and red pendulum behind Hirako's left side swayed, transforming into a black and red ring behind Hirako. Five Hollow tentacles extended from the ring, injecting black and red spiritual pressure into it like a beam of light.
This Beyond Bankai is Hirako of all his Kido abilities. Besides the Senju Kōten Taihō, his most proficient offensive Kido is the Hiryū Gekizoku Shinten Raihō.
The most unadorned beam-shaped attack, and also the easiest to integrate all of Hirako's power.
Hirako's Bleach Slash, Senju Kōten Taihō, and Cero were all incorporated into this attack. Black, pink, and red spiritual pressures converged, and the giant beam of light instantly engulfed Giselle's Spirit Bow and Arrows, rushing towards Giselle.
"Reversed Confusion Flash Cannon!"
The beam of light pierced Giselle's chest in an instant, but Hirako was still not satisfied. He manipulated the beam, slashing it up and down, and split Giselle's skeletal giant in two.
Large amounts of withered bones turned into fragments and fell from the sky, including Giselle's original-sized skeleton, which had also been split in two by Hirako.
Driven by an intense will to survive, Giselle's body once again triggered Pernida's nerves, which extended from her bones and merged the surrounding skeletons into Giselle's body once more.
Just before landing, Giselle reverted to her skeletal form once again. She was still alive, but her evolved form had been shattered by Hirako's attack.
"Damn it! Useless thing!"
After this ordeal, Giselle realized that Pernida's so-called evolutionary power was useless to him. If he didn't become a skeleton, he could still use the power of the Saint Letters to survive. But once he became a skeleton, he immediately became an eye-catching target, and the building crumbled in an instant.
Giselle grabbed her ribs and, like pulling weeds, forcefully ripped out the nerves Pernida had left in her body.
He refused to evolve, threw Pernida's neural cluster to the ground, and then wiped out the zombie-like neural network with a single arrow.
Giselle was able to do this because the moment Pernida's nerves entered his body, they came into contact with his blood. From that moment on, these nerves were turned into zombies by Giselle and were under his control.
If it were Pernida herself, Giselle might not have been able to control the nerves so easily. But since it had already left Pernida's body, under the completely unreasonable power of the Zombie Saint Letters, the so-called evolution had become Giselle's servant.
Having refused evolution, Giselle's body has returned to normal, but due to the skeletal transformation, her clothes have also been absorbed, leaving her lying naked on the ground.
But it doesn't matter anymore. Giselle knows that Hirako knows his true identity, so he doesn't need to pretend in front of Hirako.
Because of the presence of the Saint Letters, Giselle, whose body had returned to zombie form, was temporarily unable to die. Lying weakly on the ground, she looked at the sky and said, "Go ahead and kill me, Bleach."
Giselle is not afraid of Hirako's wide-range attacks. Back in the Wandenreich, they had already tested it. Even when facing Gremmy's meteor attacks, Giselle could easily survive.
So Giselle simply gave up. Either Hirako kept attacking her, since she wouldn't die anyway, or once Hirako chose to leave, Giselle, once she arrived on the battlefield, would be the most terrifying weapon.
Hirako was also stunned. If Giselle could say such a thing, it meant that he was completely unafraid of the Reversed Confusion Flash Cannon attack. This was troublesome. If only he didn't have the power of that Saint Letters. Giselle's biggest problem was the power of that Saint Letters.
Thinking of this, Hirako's eyes suddenly lit up. It seemed that there was indeed a way. Hirako looked at his Zanpakuto and recalled the scene on Sōkyoku.
On the Sōkyoku, Hirako once used the power of Sakanade to reverse Aizen's perception. If it weren't for Aizen's hidden Bankai, Hirako would have been able to Aizen at that time.
After that, Hirako studied the power of Sakanade even more, and finally, after mastering it Beyond Bankai, he completed the ultimate technique of Sakanade and sacrificed himself to reverse!
This is an incredibly powerful reversal that requires sacrifice to succeed. The price of the sacrifice is paid by the other party, and it is its strongest ability. After the sacrifice, it can reverse the ability that the other party longs for day and night.
Taking Aizen as an example, when Hirako successfully activated the technique on Sōkyoku, it was very likely that Aizen's spiritual pressure would be sacrificed, but it was also possible that the power of reversal would directly cause Aizen to fuse with the Hogyoku on Sōkyoku.
This is a highly uncertain ability, but now, Hirako believes it's worth a try. As long as the power of the Saint Letters on Giselle is sacrificed, no matter what other abilities Giselle develops, Hirako believes he can handle it even if he 'Beyond Bankai.
Do it this way!
Hirako appeared upside down above Giselle. Giselle smiled disdainfully at Hirako. Since Hirako was standing so close to her, it proved that Hirako did not intend to use a wide-range killing move.
You think you can kill him with just swords? Ridiculous! Giselle almost laughed out loud.
Hirako, however, was completely different. He didn't play with the Sakanade, but instead gripped the hilt tightly, and a strange power emanated from the Sakanade.
Giselle immediately frowned. This spinning, swaying sensation... it was somewhat similar to Huasuo's ability to maneuver and twist.
But the next moment, Giselle relaxed her tense body. Since she was already there, she might as well make the best of it. If this Bleach had the guts, he could really kill her!
Hirako completely ignored Giselle's changing expression. After a devout chant, he suddenly swung his sword at Giselle, shouting, "Reverse!"
The blade sliced through his body, yet he felt nothing. Giselle looked down at his chest, finding no mark whatsoever. Just as he was about to mock Hirako for being old and blind, a strange sensation arose within him.
Giselle sensed that her connection with the surrounding skeletons had suddenly been severed, the spiritual pressure within her blood was disappearing, her power was vanishing—no, his Saint Letters ability seemed to have vanished as well!
What was it called again?
Giselle, disregarding her lack of strength, abruptly sat up, looking at her hands. She had completely forgotten her Saint Letters Saint Letters —no, she had lost it.
Having completed everything, Hirako appeared in a short distance away, pointing his knife at Giselle, fully prepared for battle.
"No need to think about it anymore. I've sacrificed your Saint Letters power. Now, whatever new power you have, I'll take it all!"
Hirako was mentally prepared before unleashing the Sacrifice Reversal. Even if Aizen suddenly merged with the Hogyoku, he was confident he could put up a fight.
However, Giselle didn't understand what Hirako was talking about at all. What new power? She didn't feel it at all!
However, Giselle fully felt the emptiness that followed the disappearance of the Saint Letters, and anger surged within her once more. The power of the Saint Letters was the very foundation upon which she stood in the Wandenreich!
Without the power of the Saint Letters and lacking proficiency in other Quincy abilities, she had no place in the Quincy army.
Ignoring her empty body, Giselle conjured a Spirit Bow, stood up, and charged towards Hirako. She was going to fight to the death!
After running only a couple of steps, Giselle suddenly stopped. She seemed not to feel the weight between her waist and hips. Dispelling the Spirit Bow and Arrows, Giselle reached down to touch her lower body.
Hirako, standing opposite, was also stunned. As Giselle moved, Hirako seemed to understand what was reversed after Giselle's sacrificial ability.
Could this be the very thing that the Quincy had been longing for?! Hirako screamed inwardly.
