"Good morning, Teacher Chihaya!"
"Good morning."
A new week, and the corridors of Chihaya Academy were filled with hurried footsteps. Teachers and students passing by greeted Kiyoharu enthusiastically.
Ever since he started working there, Kiyoharu Chihaya had consistently held the top spot for "Most Popular Instructor." Students had always treated him well.
But today, it was exceptionally good.
Mixed in was a sense of anticipation, like "something big is about to happen."
No one knew who started the rumor, but by the morning, most people at Chihaya Academy knew that Takagi Akane was about to report for duty.
Three years ago, Takagi Akane was a first-year student at Chihaya Academy, and Kiyoharu happened to be her math teacher.
Logically, she should be in university by now. However, after her family moved to South America and she took a leave of absence, she was still able to return and study under Kiyoharu, who would be teaching second-year students.
"It's hard to believe she didn't do it on purpose..."
"What did she do over there when she wasn't attending school? She couldn't have been hanging out with gangsters, could she?"
"Maybe she was studying witchcraft. I heard Takagi Akane had a good relationship with local witches and often visited churches. She sometimes reposts occult content on her social media."
"Ah! She dared to confess to Teacher Chihaya face-to-face back then. If she's learned witchcraft, won't she be unstoppable?"
"Unstoppable might be an exaggeration, but I personally think that if classmate Takagi uses witchcraft, she might create a human transmutation circle with all of us students, tear open the void, and take Teacher Chihaya to another world..."
That last sentence was so outrageous that everyone looked towards the source of the sound. To their surprise, Kiyoharu had joined the discussion at some point, nodding seriously and even chiming in with a comment.
The students looked embarrassed.
Kiyoharu smiled and gently tapped the girls' heads with his textbook. "Alright, alright, stop gossiping. Get ready for class. Anyone who continues to talk about Colombian witches, I'll have them be the first to solve problems on the board."
Under Kiyoharu's gentle yet firm guidance, the classroom quickly settled into a state that met the requirements for starting class.
Managing students was a bit like herding sheep. You couldn't be too harsh or too lenient; you needed to strike a delicate balance. At the same time, the teacher's personal charisma played a significant role.
For Kiyoharu, achieving the classroom effect he desired was easy.
However, he admitted that Takagi Akane was the kind of student he couldn't manage – a complete lunatic.
Based on his fundamental principles of teaching and nurturing, Kiyoharu had once tried to reform Takagi Akane. But one day, after work, he found a small, pure white piece of fabric stained with an unknown liquid in his briefcase. The scent that wafted out was Takagi Akane's signature, a fragrance full of youthful hormones.
"Stop nagging me! I'll make her disappear from Tokyo forever!" Young Lady Airi, standing beside him, roared in fury.
And then Takagi Akane was exiled.
Kiyoharu, standing by the whiteboard and organizing his markers, heard the rhythmic sound of small shoes on the floor from the hallway. Based on the sound, he could imagine the owner's graceful figure and the perfect curve of her legs.
Her fit physique, the smooth lines of her legs, and the proud curve of her chest were all full of vitality.
About ten seconds later, a girl matching that description, dressed as a sweet "spicy girl," with a face that hadn't changed much from three years ago, appeared at the classroom door.
Kiyoharu had already received a message from the head of the academic affairs department on his way to work, asking him to make arrangements for the transfer student.
There wasn't much to arrange. Even her self-introduction would be a formality, as Takagi Akane was practically a legend, a "urban myth," at Chihaya Academy.
"Alright, then, before we begin today's lesson..."
Just as Kiyoharu was about to go through the motions, Takagi Akane suddenly knelt on the podium with a "thump," assuming a perfect dogeza (prostration) position towards Kiyoharu.
"Teacher Chihaya, this student was young and foolish and caused trouble for you and Young Lady Airi. I beg for your forgiveness, Teacher, to educate me so I can continue to study and live my life!"
"Anko dango, sumimasen!" (A playful, nonsensical apology, mixing Japanese food with "sorry")
Oh wow—
The entire class erupted.
Everyone had speculated that Takagi Akane might do something outrageous, but they never expected it to be outrageous in this way.
Shouldn't she have declared war? Wasn't she going to reclaim Teacher Chihaya, whom she didn't get before?
Instead, she performed a 180-degree slide and prostration.
So cowardly, so cowardly.
The students were greatly disappointed. They had expected a dramatic showdown, like a "Samba Fairy versus Tokyo Demon," but it seemed the first episode had already concluded.
"There's no need to be so agitated, classmate Takagi. Please get up first." Kiyoharu advised.
"Teacher Chihaya, have you agreed to forgive me?"
"I have. Who hasn't acted recklessly in their youth?" Kiyoharu sighed. "The past cannot be changed, but if you keep moving forward, the past will eventually become a small segment on the scale. Welcome back, classmate Takagi. I hope you've reformed."
Kiyoharu recited classic lines about forgiving war criminals and making them whitewash their past, trying to quickly gloss over the scene of Takagi Akane's kowtowing confession.
An enemy surrendering before the battle even began seemed like a good thing.
But who knew if Takagi Akane had truly reformed or if this was just bait?
Kiyoharu had no choice but to display as much magnanimity as possible, so as not to appear as if the son-in-law of the Chihaya family was being unreasonable.
Even in his teaching position, he had to represent the dignity of the Chihaya family.
—Even Gen'ichiro had low expectations for Kiyoharu, but he at least had to meet the basic standard of maintaining appearances.
Faced with Kiyoharu's impromptu "wise" words of forgiveness, Takagi Akane first froze, then let out a sound like a pitiful small animal.
"Awooo~ Teacher Chihaya, you're such a good person!"
Takagi Akane tilted her face up, gazing at Kiyoharu. The unbuttoned front of her shirt revealed a sinful abyss.
Kiyoharu struggled to keep his eyes from being drawn into the abyss, saying calmly, "Please get up quickly, Takagi-san. There's no need to feel inferior. Just study and live normally with everyone else. There's an empty seat by the window in the front row, is it okay to sit there?"
"It's fine! Anywhere Teacher Chihaya tells me to sit is good. I'll listen carefully to Teacher Chihaya from now on!"
Takagi Akane tilted her head, blinked, and happily bounced to the window.
Her school uniform shirt encased her jade-like breasts, which seemed to leap like a spring love song.
Kiyoharu roughly estimated her size; she was larger than Airi but smaller than Shimaura Hitomi, but her bust was impressively firm.
Youth is wonderful... No, it's not just youth. Girls who frequently go to the gym for effective workouts (excluding taking photos for social media) possess such firm, evil curves. The power in her slender waist made Kiyoharu subconsciously imagine some high-difficulty moves.
Pat, pat.
Kiyoharu lightly slapped his cheeks, stopping his daydream.
One cannot imagine things beyond their cognition. As for romance between men and women, Kiyoharu had experienced too much in his past life, giving him an unusually rich imagination.
Let's get back on track to a peaceful life. Thinking this, Kiyoharu opened his lesson plan.
At least, Takagi Akane gave off the vibe of a reformed bad girl.
He hoped she had truly turned over a new leaf.
However, Kiyoharu felt that Takagi Akane's voice had subtly changed compared to three years ago. Even stranger, when Takagi Akane first appeared in the hallway in her little leather shoes, the sound of her footsteps stirred an inexplicable restless emotion deep within Kiyoharu's heart.
What was going on?
Could it be that he'd been too provoked by women lately, and his Dao heart was unstable?
Sigh, it seems I'll have to listen to more audio and unload more tonight. Mira-san love!
