Background / History

Zhang Dongliang was summoned to Anbei Prefecture seven years before Li Mo's coming-of-age ceremony, intending to educate the populace and practice medicine. By the time Li Mo became his apprentice, he was in his sixties and had stepped back from much of his clinical work to train successors at Jimin Hall. As a chief physician, he earned at least ten strings of cash per month and was a prominent figure in Hua'an Town. 2 7
