Background

Lu Tianyou is a young master from Anle City. He meets Li Mo immediately after Li’s spiritual-root test and initiates their friendship with characteristic curiosity and easy confidence. After learning that Li Mo’s friend Xiao Man was sacrificed to a river god, he offers sympathy and encourages Li Mo to seek the strength to avenge her. 22

He travels with the other successful candidates to Qingming Mountain, where he shares a room with Li Mo during their Enlightenment Hall studies. While Li Mo focuses on cultivation and the Dao, Lu Tianyou is more preoccupied with romance, openly pursuing a girl from another class and favoring women with a “wild” temperament. 23 24

His pursuit of multiple female disciples eventually becomes public when Guo Hongjuan exposes his two-timing and slaps him in class. Hu Tian'er and other female disciples subsequently ostracize him.
