But these visitors from the Council civilizations had grown increasingly irritable because they had yet to see their target, Reilo. To avoid conflict, the Academic World had no choice but to resort to stalling tactics, bringing the visitors to the vicinity of the Grand Natural Sciences Academy and buying itself a little more time.
And it had indeed worked.
After all, these uninvited guests knew that the Grand Natural Sciences Academy was the heart of the Academic World, a sacred hall, and where the Sun Power was born. So they had been delayed for quite some time, giving the Academic World time to wait for Reilo's return.
"So many Flying Devices?"

These energy spheres came in various sizes. They were a defensive measure used by advanced civilizations skilled in weaving energy structures when docking their Flying Devices. They were essentially an upgraded version of Energy Restriction, a technique the Academic World had yet to master fully.
Reilo had expected perhaps a dozen Flying Devices to be docked here.

Reilo also noticed a plume of black smoke rising from the reception hall in the distance, while waves of violent Law Power surged unchecked through the air.
