Orn took a deep breath.
With Captain Newt dead, he and Angelina were now the leaders of this squad.
He looked at the Guardians, who were still murmuring in a daze, seemingly grateful to have escaped death and shaken by Reilo's world-turning power. He shouted:
"Ten minutes! Rescue our comrades and collect the biological specimens Dean Reilo just requested. Return to the Academy in ten minutes. We're leaving!"
Only then did everyone come back to their senses.
The Guardians looked down at their comrades, whom the Dean had just saved from crashing into the desert. As if waking from a dream, they hurried down to help them.
A few others began collecting as many Dream Owl specimens as they could.
Orn turned to Angelina.
"Don't dwell on it. People like him are geniuses who drive the Academic World forward. Only one or two appear in a thousand years. Let's just do our best."
Angelina gritted her teeth and said nothing.
One gave chase while the other fled. Reilo and the Legendary Creature Dream Owl soon covered dozens of miles.
Desert hills flashed past beneath them.
The longer Reilo pursued it, the more alarmed he became.
Even with his Superbody Transformation speed, boosted by the explosive bubble beneath his feet, he still could barely catch up with the Dream Owl. If anything, it seemed to be pulling farther ahead. It was truly hard to believe.
Reilo dared not waste any more time. He hurriedly activated Tears of Dawn, hoping to use its tremendous speed to wound the creature with a single strike and capture it.
