The creature in the projection was Sand Surge.
It was like a constantly roiling mire, with slurry churning endlessly from within.
It looked Bailan up and down. To Sand Surge's sensibilities, this bipedal creature of flesh and blood was grotesquely disproportionate and ugly, as well as rather fragile. Yet the extensive scan data told it that this creature was extremely powerful.
Her strength did not come simply from the energy within her. She also exerted orderly control over microscopic particles in the air, which ordinary creatures could barely perceive, as though they were extensions of her limbs—or a second skin.
One had to understand—
In terms of macroscopic energy control, there were quite a few beings who, in sheer quantity, were more powerful than this self-proclaimed human, at least as far as these Sand Surges could tell. In fact, such beings could be considered rather common.
But when it came to the exquisite control of energy on the microscopic scale, this human was the first the Sand Surges had ever encountered. Several heads of technical departments even suspected that her precise control of microscopic energy might surpass the detection limits of their instruments.
Meanwhile—
Bailan was also doing her best to observe and understand this creature from a civilization that called itself the Flowing Sand Civilization.
Though their contact had been brief, there was no doubt that, in terms of technological prowess, the Human Academic Circle had been completely outclassed.
A civilization that claimed to be Level 4.8, an open civilization no longer afraid of the dark, Zero, or the systems of war. If its civilization rating followed the same scale as her mentor Reilo's, then from its perspective, the Academic World at this stage might only be a nascent Cataclysm Civilization somewhere between Level 3.8 and 4.0.
And this
