One month later.
A month and a half had passed since the Destroyers invaded the Academic World.
In the scholars' eyes, the Destroyers' style of warfare was nothing like that of an army. They were more like a swarm of locusts descending from the sky, indiscriminately destroying everything in their path.
Though they had swept through the Academic World's front lines with ease, over the following month and a half they had advanced across the vast lands, methodically wiping out every scholar they encountered.
With Lava Hounds capable of sniffing out the scent of emotions, the Destroyers killed everyone in their path, whether they were underground forces that had gone into hiding or individual scholars still clinging to hope.
It seemed they intended to use this utterly brutal approach to wipe every scholar in the Academic World off the face of the earth, achieving true and total Destruction.
Though this seemed to deal a devastating blow to the occupied territories, the Academic World's senior scholars thought the Destroyers' methods were far too unprofessional. They were wasting an enormous amount of time on this vast, worthless land, giving the Academic World ample time to prepare by trading space for time.
Given the Destroyers' demonstrated strength, if they had wiped out every important settlement as quickly as possible after destroying the front lines, X Advancement Academy would likely already have entered the war.
After all, in the Academic World's original plan, the ideal scenario for X Advancement Academy was to hold out for three months. By then, with Reilo and An Liya at the forefront, it would gather a portion of the Academic World's forces and attempt a true head-on clash with the Destroyers.
But that was only the best-case scenario.
In truth, the Academic World had no confidence in this plan
