C-Rank Mission

The next morning, after washing his face, Tianqi arrived at the mission hall early, planning to accept a mission before waiting for Jiraiya and the others.

"Lord Tianqi, you're here. What kind of mission would you like to accept this time? Still a D-rank mission?" The ninja assigning missions didn't act on his own this time, but instead asked Tianqi.

"Give me a C-rank mission today. One that pays well and seems simple." That's right, Tianqi wanted a mission similar to Naruto and the others' from the Land of Waves. What's a mission without ninja combat?

"Uh, let me see." Hearing Tianqi's conditions, the ninja assigning missions was taken aback. Such simple, high-paying missions were highly sought after. He wasn't sure if any were available, but he still started looking for Tianqi.

About ten minutes later, the ninja assigning missions finally found one. "Lord Tianqi, here's that simple, high-paying C-rank mission. It's an escort mission, though the journey is a bit long."

Tianqi took the mission scroll and glanced at it, a slight smile forming on his lips. This was the kind of mission he wanted. The mission scroll indicated that the client was Tang He. All he had to do was escort this Tang He to the Land of Hot Water. The reward was quite high. The Land of Hot Water was a small country. Although they didn't have ninja, they had samurai. Traveling all the way to Konoha to post a mission surely meant something was up.

"Alright, we'll take this mission. My team accepts." Tianqi agreed without hesitation. This was exactly the kind of mission he was looking for.

"Very well, Lord Tianqi. I'll notify the client right away." Seeing Tianqi accept, the ninja assigning missions immediately went to inform the client.

Soon, the client arrived. It wasn't an old man, but a man in his thirties.

"Tianqi, this is the captain who accepted your mission. They're a four-person team. Your C-rank mission is no problem for them."

"Lord Tianqi, he's the client," the ninja assigning missions introduced them.

"Can he handle it? He looks so young." Tang He looked at Tianqi with doubt.

"You..." The ninja assigning missions was about to speak when Tianqi stopped him.

"You don't need to worry. I'm a ninja who's participated in wars. Even if dozens of Jonin came at me, I wouldn't be afraid."

"Are you reassured now?" Tianqi whispered into Tang He's ear, his eyes narrowed.

"That's right! Lord Tianqi's strength is incredible. If he weren't leading a team, he wouldn't even take missions like this," the ninja assigning missions also bragged about Tianqi.

Hearing them say this, Tang He was relieved. "Then when do we depart?" he quickly asked, eager to return to the Land of Hot Water.

"No rush. I'm just waiting for three Genin. If you're really in a hurry, you can wait for me at the Konoha main gate. I'll depart as soon as I pick them up." Tianqi saw Tang He's impatience and told him to wait at the gate.

"Alright, I'll head to the gate and wait for you. Please hurry." Being on someone else's turf, he couldn't rush them too much, lest he reveal any weaknesses. With that, he walked out.

"Let's see what tricks you can pull," Tianqi muttered as he watched Tang He leave.

Afterward, Tianqi went to the mission hall entrance to wait for the three youngsters. He had indeed come early today. Checking the time, it was only 7:30 AM. "Still half an hour. I'll catch a quick nap."

Tianqi sat on the ground, leaning against a pillar. As he dozed off, he fell asleep. He felt relatively safe in Konoha. If he were outside, he wouldn't dare sleep so soundly. Sleeping outside might mean sleeping forever.

And so, the ninjas who came to accept missions saw someone sleeping at the entrance, drool trickling from the corner of his mouth.

"Why is this person sleeping right at the entrance?"

"This guy is amazing. He can sleep at the mission hall entrance."

"Shh, keep it down. Don't you realize that's Uchiha Tianqi? Who would dare provoke such a formidable person?"

"Holy crap! It really is Uchiha Tianqi, who killed hundreds of Cloud Ninja. Let's get away from him quickly and not disturb his sleep!"

Jiraiya and the other two also arrived at the mission hall entrance.

"Didn't we agree to meet here today? Big Brother Tianqi isn't here yet. Did someone oversleep?" Jiraiya looked around for Tianqi's figure and spoke.

"Bang! Stop talking nonsense. Big Brother Tianqi never oversleeps. If he's not here on time, it must be for a reason." Tsunade punched Jiraiya directly on the head. She knew everything about Tianqi last night and believed he wouldn't be the type to sleep in.

"Ouch, you flat-chested tomboy," Jiraiya muttered, clutching his head, calling her a tomboy.

"Huh? Why are so many people gathered here?" Jiraiya noticed the crowd and squeezed his way in.

"Yo, isn't this Big Brother Tianqi? Why are you sleeping here? Tsunade, Orochimaru, come quickly! Big Brother Tianqi is here!" Seeing it was Tianqi, Jiraiya shouted to the other two.

Hearing that Tianqi was over there, the two quickly joined the crowd.

"Damn it! It really is Tianqi. Not only is he sleeping here, but he's also drooling!" Tsunade slapped her forehead. She couldn't bear to look. She had just said he wouldn't sleep in, and here he was, sleeping at the mission hall, being watched by so many people. The embarrassment came too quickly.

"With so many people watching, and he's still not awake? This is too embarrassing, you scoundrel!" With that, Tsunade raised her right hand and punched Tianqi in the face.

Bang!

"Who! Who! Who was it! Who ambushed this lord! Show yourself!" Woken by the punch, Tianqi woke up, clutching his bruised face and shouting at the crowd.

Seeing Tianqi's angry face after being hit, everyone unconsciously took a few steps back. Jiraiya and Orochimaru also retreated.

"I hit him." Tsunade stepped forward directly.

"Scoundrel! How dare you hit your Tian—, huh? Why is it you, Tsunade? Why did you hit me?" Tianqi, who was about to curse, lost his temper as soon as he saw Tsunade.

"I say, Big Brother Tianqi, you're a legendary figure, yet you're sleeping here and drooling. Don't you find it embarrassing?" Tsunade said with anger. She had admired Tianqi greatly last night and had thought about his issues all night. To see this the next day? Her admiration vanished instantly.

"Sigh, it's just this. I came early to accept a mission. Since you guys weren't here, I decided to take a quick nap. I didn't expect to fall asleep. Besides, we're ninja. Is falling asleep for a mission embarrassing?" Seeing Tsunade's anger, Tianqi offered a flimsy excuse.

"Even so, couldn't you have slept inside the mission hall? There are chairs there to sleep on. Why embarrass yourself here?" Seeing Tianqi use the mission as an excuse, Tsunade retorted.

"Alright, alright, Tsunade, stop talking. It's awkward with so many people watching. I've already accepted the mission. We'll meet at the Konoha main gate." With that, Tianqi ran off. Being hit by a woman, scolded, and watched by so many people, even Tianqi, with his thick skin, felt a bit embarrassed.

"Still embarrassed? Who believes that?" Watching Tianqi flee, a strange emotion arose in Tsunade's heart.

"What are you looking at! Keep looking and I'll beat you all up too!" Seeing everyone staring at her, Tsunade threatened them directly.

Everyone recognized her as Tsunade, the princess of the Land of Fire. If she hit you, there was nowhere to complain. Thus, everyone scattered, leaving only Jiraiya and Orochimaru.

"It's a little embarrassing to be watched by so many people," Tsunade also came to her senses.

"Let's go, we should head to the gate too," Tsunade said to the two.

Jiraiya and Orochimaru nodded frantically. Then they exchanged a look. Daring to hit Tianqi in front of everyone and threatening a crowd of ninjas – it was better to provoke such a formidable person less.

With that, the group headed towards the Konoha main gate.
