In the Doomsday World, Lin Qi was still in the bathroom, but his clothes had changed since the previous moment.
After arriving in the lab, Lin Qi took off his Cyber World clothes and changed into a shirt emblazoned with "Magic University Robot Combat."
Xia Chu, who was fiddling with the 3D printer according to Lin Qi's instructions, didn't notice what he was doing.
Once he had changed, Lin Qi went to a computer, took out his hand-drawn designs, and used the Collecting Robot to convert them into the proper format. Finally, he transferred the blueprints to a USB drive.
Lin Qi had already finished making most of the core components. He wouldn't need to be involved much in the production that followed; the Collecting Robot would handle most of the work.
All Lin Qi had to do was assemble everything at the end.
Right now, Lin Qi needed to make weapons for the mech.

"Xia Chu, could you give me a hand?" Lin Qi called out to her.
"What is it?" Xia Chu reacted quickly, moving almost as soon as Lin Qi spoke.
"I might need your Transcendent Power for what comes next," Lin Qi explained.
If his assessment was correct, Xia Chu's Transcendent Power let her condense water into ice and control it.
Under the influence of her Transcendent Power, heat seemed to vanish into thin air, completely defying the laws of thermodynamics.
"My Transcendent Power?" Xia Chu looked confused.
She had had her Transcendent Power for less than twenty-four hours. She had only used it instinctively in the moment she gained it.
Xia Chu didn't even know how to use it deliberately.
Lin Qi had been prepared for this. As a Wizard, he had plenty of experience controlling Transcendent Power.
He fetched a steel plate and heated it with a laser.
"Try to cool it down directly."
Lin Qi wanted to see whether Xia Chu's Transcendent Power depended entirely on water.
If she could control an object's temperature directly without relying on water, then the potential of this Transcendent Power would be terrifying.
Water Control and controlling entropy were two entirely different things.
Xia Chu stared at the glowing red steel plate, unsure what to do.
Lin Qi added an explanation: "Focus your mind on the spot where you want to apply your Transcendent Power. Try to feel as though water is gathering there. That's your Mental Power, the source of your Transcendent Power..."
The way Xia Chu's Transcendent Power manifested was quite similar to a Wizard's, though Wizards had a wider range of abilities.
By comparison, the potential of an extraordinary being who had awakened her own one-directional ability, like Xia Chu, was higher. It could rise along with her extraordinary rank.
But the upper limit of a Wizard's power was constrained by the rank of the extraordinary items they had analyzed.
Lin Qi, as a First Rank Wizard, couldn't yet say which was better.
As Xia Chu focused her will, Lin Qi saw through his Psychic Vision that the steel plate's temperature hadn't changed. Instead, water vapor around it began to gather and condense, slowly forming Ice Crystals.
The Ice Crystals then fell onto the steel plate, vaporizing into vast clouds of steam.
The steam condensed back into water, then ice, before evaporating again. The cycle repeated.
It seemed Xia Chu's extraordinary power still relied on water. Although she could control changes in water temperature, she wasn't directly manipulating entropy.
"That's enough. I think I understand."
Once he had confirmed the nature of Xia Chu's Transcendent Power, Lin Qi had a clear idea of how to design the weapon.
If the materials couldn't dissipate heat well enough, he would add liquid cooling.
He would use hollow steel and fill it with water, then rely on Xia Chu's control over the water's temperature to dissipate heat.
The water would absorb the heat, then her Transcendent Power would interfere and carry it away into thin air.
This design completely defied the laws of thermodynamics. If a weapon in the Cyber World were built this way, it would inevitably blow its barrel.
But Lin Qi was an L-level Researcher as well as an Extraordinary Profession practitioner. He designed weapons to suit the circumstances, without letting conventional theories hold him back.
Once he had a clear plan, Lin Qi worked much faster.
A little over half a day later, an M-level mech lay flat in the lab. Electromagnetic rotary cannons were mounted on either side, while an ammunition magazine was installed on its back, complete with a directional electromagnetic recovery system.
Beside the mech lay a Chainsaw Sword, about four meters long and made of Tungsten Steel Alloy.
Two miniature reactors were installed inside the mech, and another was built into the Chainsaw Sword.
At full power, the remaining energy would fuel about thirty hours of combat.
Its range wasn't great, but it would last long enough for Lin Qi to go to Greenland City in the Cyber World and secure a new energy supply.
With a Crimson Crystal under his tongue, Lin Qi had absorbed eleven of them so far. Before returning to the Cyber World, he would be able to absorb a twelfth and raise his physical attributes to the First Rank extraordinary level.
"It's finished already?"
Beside Lin Qi, Xia Chu felt as though she were dreaming.
Was this really the level of technology Lin Qi was capable of?
Was this the same Lin Qi who hadn't even won a prize in the national competition?
Could Lin Qi's Transcendent Power be enhanced intelligence?
Xia Chu's imagination began running wild again.
"Get in the cockpit. We're heading out to meet up with the Rescue Team."
Lin Qi walked over to the mech ahead of her and opened the cockpit.
It was a two-person cockpit—not because the mech needed two pilots, but because Lin Qi wanted to leave room for Xia Chu.
Besides, the weapons system needed her help to cool down.
Xia Chu was still standing there, stunned, while the Collecting Robot had already climbed into the cockpit.
Before getting in, it had even placed the packed-up Crimson Crystals in the storage compartment.
Of all the mech's components, the Collecting Robot was the key.
Its chip would serve as the core for the mech's computing power.
Lin Qi was already lying back in the cockpit. He called to Xia Chu again, and she hurried inside.
The cockpit canopy closed. Screens surrounding the cockpit lit up, displaying the environment outside.
The images came from various monitors throughout the building. Their picture quality and frame rates varied, so the view looked a little rough from inside, but it would do.
Lin Qi would have to pilot the mech using the images on the screens. A panel appeared in front of Xia Chu, displaying the temperature of the weapons system.
Lin Qi had already done a simple practice run with Xia Chu on cooling the weapons system.
With her current Mental Power, Xia Chu could probably manage four cooling cycles.
One cooling cycle was enough for two minutes of sustained fire.
It wasn't very efficient, but it would suffice.
The ammunition in the magazine was only enough for six rounds of sustained fire anyway.
Inside the lab, the medium-sized M-level mech slowly rolled over and picked up its signature weapon, the Chainsaw Sword.
Then it crawled forward.
The ceiling was too low for the mech to stand, so it could only inch its way toward the window.
The Chainsaw Sword started up, smoothly cutting through the window and the wall. The noise drew the attention of a horde of Zombies below.
Boom.
The sound of the heavy mech hitting the ground carried hundreds of meters.
The M-level mech from the Cyber World had made its debut in the Doomsday World.
In the distance, at the student dormitory area,
a survivor heard the commotion and gazed this way from afar.
"Holy crap, the engineering department has a freaking genius!"
