Overview
The Survival Game is the system that transports players into real survival worlds through consumable Game Invitation Cards. A player's body is directly transported into the selected world, while time passes much faster inside the game than on Blue Star. Clearing a game grants rewards, including extraordinary items and abilities that can be brought back to reality. 1
Players cannot choose which survival game they enter; game selection is random. The system supports games with distinct difficulty ratings, modes, world rules, and victory conditions. 1 293 532 836
Player Interface
Players access the Survival Game through a wrist bracelet that projects a semi-transparent light screen. Before entering a game, the bracelet provides a Personal Panel; once inside, additional game functions become available. 1
| Function | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Personal Panel | Displays a player's attributes, player level, transcendent level, abilities, extraordinary items, and wealth. 1 203 |
| Game Channel | Provides access to Public, Private, and mission-related channels. 1 |
| Public Channel | Enables broad player communication and information exchange. 4 12 |
| Private Channel | Contains utility functions and private communication features. 4 |
| Game Mission | Displays the current game's mission, difficulty, mode, tips, and rewards. 1 293 532 836 |
| Game Map | Appears in certain games; its functionality varies by scenario. 260 703 836 |
| Game Shop / Public Store | Allows the purchase or listing of player-brought items and other game-related goods. 204 290 |
Game Mechanics
Entry and rewards
- A Game Invitation Card is a consumable item that allows its user to become a player and enter a survival game. 1
- Clearing a survival game awards game-specific rewards; these may include extraordinary items, currencies, titles, abilities, territory, factories, or access to higher-difficulty games. 1 278 493
- Items brought out of a survival game are recorded on a player's Personal Panel and are at least extraordinary-item level. 204
- The system may issue additional benefits during a game, such as survival gift packages, draw chances, hidden quests, welfare exchanges, and ranking rewards. 1 312 390 703 836
Difficulty and player progression
| Player qualification | Documented requirement or result |
|---|---|
| Bronze Player | Wang Yu reaches Bronze after completing Extreme Night Wilderness Survival; gaining a player level allows his Mental Power to break through its previous limit. 203 |
| Silver Player | Clearing Extreme Wilderness Survival qualifies Wang Yu for two-star difficulty survival games. 289 |
| Golden Player | Completing the two-star Biohazard Apocalypse Survival awards Wang Yu the Golden Player title and an invitation to higher-level games. 493 |
| Three-star qualification | Obtaining the Golden Player title twice qualifies Wang Yu to enter a three-star difficulty survival game. 820 |
Player level can restrict transcendent advancement. Wang Yu is unable to continue breaking through his extraordinary life tier before receiving a player-level evaluation. 116
Death and item loss
- Death conditions differ by game mode. In Extreme Night Wilderness Survival, players can only leave before the end by dying. 1
- In Biohazard Apocalypse Survival, death forces a player to re-enter the same game until the biohazard ends or humanity is annihilated; dying more than twice forfeits clearing rewards. 293
- The Biohazard Apocalypse Survival ultimate trial can grant exemptions from death penalties based on the number of survivors sheltered. 312
- In Survival of the Giant, failure to complete the forced mission leaves players trapped in that world, while repeated deaths guarantee extraordinary-item drops. 836
- Players commonly regard death as an escape option when capture would lead to torture or the theft of their extraordinary items, though repeated death carries a risk of equipment loss. 240
Documented Survival Games
| Game | Difficulty / Mode | Objective and notable rules |
|---|---|---|
| Extreme Night Wilderness Survival | ★; Open-ended game with no rule restrictions 1 | Survive a wilderness extreme-night period. Predators become more aggressive, disasters occur, and shelter construction is critical. The first seven days have novice protection. 1 |
| Extreme Wilderness Survival | Game trial / island-based survival game 278 | Clearing its trial can reward an island, an otherworldly teleportation gate, and 30 Strange Fruits. Its advanced version requires defending the reward island through natural-disaster rounds and further trials. 278 |
| Biohazard Apocalypse Survival | Two-star; bound forced repeat mode 293 | Survive a TB100 outbreak, prevent humanity's total extinction, and avoid infection, which turns players and exotic-beast items into memoryless monsters. 293 |
| Plants vs. Zombies — Resource Combat | ★ to unlimited difficulty; Infinite Mode 532 | Acquire resources by controlling mutated plants and surviving zombie attacks. Intelligence and ability account for 50% of success, while Luck accounts for the other 50%. 532 |

Survival-Game Systems
Prompts and balancing
The Survival Game provides ongoing prompt messages containing mission information, warnings, welfare offers, and rule changes. 1 390
Its balancing measures can alter a game's conditions in response to player actions. After Wang Yu kills a Zombie King and significantly lowers the difficulty of Biohazard Apocalypse Survival, the system removes player-information protection and warns that major local forces may detect and target players; it also announces the emergence of a stronger Zombie King. 390
Trials and hidden quests
- Survival games may contain optional trials with additional rewards. 86 260
- The Biohazard Apocalypse Survival ultimate trial requires players to establish a shelter and protect survivors; sheltering ten million survivors grants the ultimate-trial reward. 312
- In Plants vs. Zombies, players may participate in game trials for significant rewards, and clearing such a trial is treated as a major achievement among Blue Star's organizations. 703 722
- In Survival of the Giant, spreading Flames of Civilization among intelligent races can provide benefits that strengthen players for the marathon. 906
Flames of Civilization
In Survival of the Giant, Flames of Civilization protect players against the world's Savage Force and are central to progression. Extinguished flames may be relit at locations possessing Flames of Civilization. 836
Players can gain benefits by reigniting the Flames of Civilization of intelligent races that have become barbaric after losing them. However, stronger or more numerous flames increase the risk of attracting barbaric races and giant beasts. 836 906 924
Impact on Blue Star
The Survival Game's arrival causes extraordinary abilities and game currencies to become part of Blue Star society. Players who clear games can acquire powers such as flight, while game currency develops a real-world exchange rate. 1 205
Governments and organizations respond by forming specialized survival-game units, recruiting powerful players, seeking game-derived resources, and competing over rewards such as Paradise Island and production factories. 211 287 531
Trivia

- Plants vs. Zombies — Resource Combat grants all players from Earth Civilization an additional point of Luck. 532
- Survival of the Giant introduces players in yearly batches; Wang Yu enters as part of the 32nd batch. 836
