Hunt's death had completely stunned the remaining survivors on the battlefield.

The tax official struggled with all his might, desperate to get away, cursing as he did.

The last remaining Iwa Jonin heard the curses, but had no strength left to argue.
He wasn't as strong as Hunt. After all, Hunt had been important enough to appear in the Fourth Great Ninja War, where gods battled in the original story. He was just an unremarkable Iwa Jonin.
