Background / History

The Divine Court is an ancient, secretive religious-power organization established nearly a thousand years before the death of its God Official, Heavenly Punishment. Its supreme mortal agents are the Twelve Divine Officials, each an exceptionally powerful servant of its God. God Officials are described as having fallen only a handful of times across the organization’s history. 90 91

Its hidden headquarters was located on a black-crystal floating island in an unknown, perpetually dark sea. At its center stood a dark divine palace; within its deepest chamber, twelve black tokens encircled a colossal, faceless god statue. The destruction of one token—representing Heavenly Punishment—awakened the statue and summoned the remaining eleven officials. 90

Following Ye Canglan/Heavenly Punishment’s death, the First God Official ordered an investigation into Lin Yuan and directed the Divine Court to enter silence until the God’s awakening. 91

After the destruction of the Liu Family, Lin Yuan and Lin Jianguo expected retaliation from the Divine Court and fortified Yan Jing City. 73

The death of Heavenly Punishment escalated the conflict. The Divine Court’s Soul Chasing Token recorded Ye Canglan’s death and the involvement of Lin Yuan, Shangguan Jinghong, and Tie Kuang. Lin Yuan destroyed the token openly, declaring his willingness to confront the organization. 89 90

Ouro Continent Campaign

The Divine Court ambushed and nearly annihilated the Holy Knight Order’s Third Squad near Blackstone Valley. Lain escaped only by self-destructing his Flame Hammer to open a spatial rift; residual Shadow energy left him near death. 117 118

Lin Yuan entered Ouro Continent, identified Blackstone Valley as the Divine Court’s strategic stronghold, and disrupted its demolition plan. He defeated five peak Spiritual Manifestation Realm Shadows, killed them with the Nine Tribulations Heaven Evolution Sword Formation, and eliminated the remaining defenders. 121 122 126 129

Western Border Scheme

The Divine Court’s remnant forces attempted another operation in an ancient sealed land on Dragon Summer Country’s western border. Lin Yuan destroyed a temple legion, exposed the organization’s alarm over his emergence, and later reversed its summoning array to seal a Demon God. 138 139 146

Godslaying Battle

Global forces formed the Godslaying Expeditionary Force to locate and eliminate the Divine Court’s headquarters. Lin Yuan located its target in subspace using Divine Sense, and the Allied Fleet advanced on its position. 149 154 155

During the battle, Lin Zhan defeated Divine Court God Officials and cleared the way for Lin Yuan’s decisive attack. Lin Yuan used ninety-nine Heavenly Grade ultimate divine swords to destroy the Gate of the Divine Nation, severing the Divine Court’s connection to the world. 161 162

Later Divine Nation Conflict

Divine Nation forces, including the Heavenly Punishment Fleet and Heavenly Punishment Divine Guards, later fought the God-Awakened Army. Their reliance on Order and Law proved insufficient against Lin Yuan’s forces and Dao-based techniques. 504 507 508
