I really hadn't considered the problem Chen Xiaoqiu brought up before.
Most of the time, I thought the Thin Man and the others simply had yin-yang eyes. I never thought about their abilities. I worried about what might happen to them, but when it came to asking for help, my first instinct was still to turn to Greenleaf.
Chen Xiaoqiu had brought up a unique idea, and it sounded feasible.
But I couldn't make the decision just like that.
"We should plan this carefully. And we'd better ask the people at Greenleaf, too. We might need their help," Fatty said calmly.
Of course we'd need help from the people at Greenleaf. None of us knew anything about spells or the like. Even if we wanted to fool the Thin Man, we'd have to come up with something convincing. It was quite a while before the Thin Man returned to the office. By then, his mood had brightened.
"How'd it go?" Fatty asked.
"It's fine. She's been busy with work lately, working herself to death with overtime. She should be all right." The Thin Man sounded a little wistful. "She's moving in the direction of becoming a career woman."
"She's not interested in mediums anymore?" Guo Yujie asked in surprise.
The Thin Man shook his head and said oddly, "When she graduated, she went to see a famous medium. Apparently, she was very accurate. The medium told her she'd become the queen of some industry, a big-shot CEO or something. It was like she'd been brainwashed."
The turn of events had caught us completely off
