In this chapter, the protagonist, Qi Ge, goes on a date with a fake person, which initially seems normal but quickly turns unsettling. The date involves drinking together, with the fake person displaying uncanny behavior, such as opening a mouth to drink and kissing Qi Ge, leaving him with cut lips. The scene then shifts to a restaurant where Fatty, a friend of Qi Ge, is on a double date with a fake person, claiming he's getting married to it. The restaurant transforms into a church, and a mass wedding ensues with all of Qi Ge's friends paired with fake people. Qi Ge realizes something is amiss but can't pinpoint the issue. The wedding ceremony reveals that the bride is also a fake person, and Fatty shows Qi Ge a child, which is another mannequin, convincing him it's his own. The scene changes to an elementary school, then to Qi Ge's home, where his family has become mannequins. Qi Ge then turns into a hairy crab, being eaten by mannequins, and Ye Qing appears, pouring blood-like liquid on him. Qi Ge wakes up from this nightmare, realizing he's been dreaming, but he's mentally exhausted and can't sleep. He searches for information about Liu Shengxuan and Gu Junze, people who had contact with Qingye.
