Old Wang acquired the Obelisk, helped Skye awaken her Inhuman powers, and led her toward the truth about her parents. After Whitehall’s forces attacked the Darkhold Laboratory, Old Wang captured him and brought him back for Skye to confront.

• Old Wang sold Egghead Dragon Bone, hired Fitz and Simmons, and began expanding the Darkhold Laboratory’s research.
• Old Wang treated Tony Stark’s palladium poisoning and learned that the Winter Soldier had stolen the Obelisk, so he pursued him and took both the Obelisk and the Winter Soldier.
• Old Wang explained that the Obelisk was a Kree Diviner and that Skye was an Inhuman, then told her how Whitehall had dissected her mother, Jia Ying.
• Old Wang took Skye to the Kree Temple, where the Obelisk released Terrigen Mist and awakened her shockwave powers, which damaged the underground city.
• Old Wang helped Skye begin controlling her powers and warned that Whitehall would come seeking the Obelisk, while Fitz planned equipment to contain her vibrations.
• Whitehall sent Hydra forces to attack the Darkhold Laboratory, where Elektra, Daredevil, Stick, and Skye fought the attackers as Old Wang confronted Whitehall’s forces.
• Old Wang and Skye defeated Hydra’s assault, and Old Wang captured Whitehall after killing the other occupants of his helicopter.
• Old Wang refused Egghead’s offer of one billion dollars for Whitehall, negotiated with Coulson over the other spoils, and took Skye and Whitehall to the laboratory, where he allowed Skye to torture him but forbade her to kill him.

Old Wang defended the Azeroth Laboratory from Kaecilius, traded knowledge with the Ancient One, and built up his research projects while drawing Tony Stark into the work. The arc ended with Tony agreeing to help modify Quinjets and invest in the company as Old Wang prepared to use Whitehall’s memories against Hydra.

• Old Wang stopped Pierce’s missile strike from reaching San Juan, then killed Obadiah after rescuing Tony Stark from his attack.
• Tony joined Fitz’s research and solved the formula for the brain-mapping technology as Old Wang’s team built the Azeroth Laboratory.
• Kaecilius attacked the laboratory for the Darkhold, but Old Wang killed his apprentices and drove him off before meeting with the Ancient One.
• Old Wang exchanged the Darkhold and recovered artifacts for access to Kamar-Taj’s library, then gained enough Azeroth Blood to activate Eternal Blessing of Azeroth.
• Old Wang returned to San Juan and tasked Simmons with developing Dragon Bone and Super Soldier serums while arranging for Skye to meet her father, Carl.
• Carl agreed to work with Old Wang’s life-sciences team, and Old Wang traded Whitehall’s intelligence to Egghead for Quinjets, equipment, Adamantium, and a future favor.
• Old Wang reviewed Whitehall’s memories, ordered Fitz to restore the Winter Soldier’s mental freedom, and began planning against Hydra’s infiltrators.
• Tony agreed to modify three Quinjets and invest two billion in Old Wang’s future company in exchange for a 19% stake.

Old Wang rescued Skye and Jia Ying, prepared to search for Captain America, and fought Hydra’s coordinated attack on Azeroth Laboratory, S.H.I.E.L.D., and Tony Stark. Hydra’s leaders were killed or driven into retreat, but John Garrett’s missile strike remained a threat as the story left Old Wang pursuing him.

• Old Wang freed Bucky from Hydra’s conditioning, and Bucky agreed to help search Greenland for the frozen Steve Rogers.
• Old Wang brought Skye and Jia Ying to The Laboratory, where Fitz altered Jia Ying and Carl’s memories and Old Wang began training Jia Ying in True Qi.
• Pierce ordered Hydra to attack Azeroth Laboratory, Fury, Robbie’s family, and Tony, prompting Old Wang and his allies to fight back across several fronts.
• Fury and Egghead helped expose Pierce and launch Operation Snake Hunt, while Old Wang fought through Triskelion and Tony repelled Hydra’s attack on his villa.
• Old Wang tracked Dr. Zola to an underground New Jersey base and stopped Zola’s consciousness from escaping, while Fitz and Skye blocked its transmission and secured the database.
• Skye discovered Zola’s command to launch missiles at Triskelion and the base, so Old Wang sent her and Fitz to move the database while he returned to headquarters.
• Old Wang reached Triskelion as Ghost Rider and S.H.I.E.L.D. agents fought Hydra, but one missile launch remained active and Robbie destroyed its missile at the cost of his Quinjet.
• Skye identified a S.H.I.E.L.D. destroyer as the missile platform and reported that John Garrett had ordered the strike, so Old Wang asked her for Garrett’s location.

Old Wang dismantled Hydra’s network, entered K’un-Lun, and gained Shou-Lao’s power while forging ties between K’un-Lun and Kamar-Taj. After Bucky and Fitz recovered Steve Rogers and Hydra’s Winter Soldiers began a wave of assassinations, Old Wang organized the hunt and let Skye take the lead against one of them in Tokyo.

• Old Wang captured Garrett and Zola, helped Egghead stabilize S.H.I.E.L.D., and recruited Peter Parker as his disciple.
• Old Wang traveled to K’un-Lun, defeated Lei Gong, and persuaded the Jade Emperor and elders to accept him as a teacher.
• Old Wang fought the Jade Emperor at Kunlun Summit, helped him reach Grandmaster, and took Shou-Lao’s power to become the Iron Fist.
• Old Wang proposed cooperation between K’un-Lun and Kamar-Taj, then returned to The Laboratory and visited Afterlife with Skye and Jia Ying.
• Bucky and Fitz found Steve Rogers frozen in Greenland and brought him to The Laboratory, where he awoke and learned he had slept for sixty-four years.
• Old Wang sold Egghead one hundred doses of Resurrection Serum as Hydra’s five Winter Soldiers began assassinating officials across the world.
• Old Wang divided the pursuit among his allies, and Skye killed the East Asian Super Soldier in Tokyo with a focused shockwave.
