Snape's pupils abruptly dilated, terror filling his heart. "What is this...?"

Fawkes beat his wings desperately, but it was useless. The immense pull still dragged him toward the tornado.

Snape shouted at once, "Fawkes, get out of here!"

Flames ignited around Fawkes, enveloping both him and Snape. "Boom—"

The man and bird vanished from where they stood, only to reappear several hundred meters away.

Snape stared grimly at the tornado in the distance and said in a low voice, "Fawkes, bring Dumbledore and the others here."

With a shrill cry, Fawkes turned into a ball of fire and vanished again.

A moment later, Fawkes reappeared, bringing Dumbledore and McGonagall with him.

The two looked around and quickly spotted the giant tornado in the distance.

Snape spoke rapidly. "After locating Matthew, I came straight over. He seems to be at the tornado's location right now."

McGonagall immediately grew tense. "Severus, was Matthew caught up in the tornado?"

Snape shook his head. "I don't know what's happening inside. I also saw an enormous red face above the tornado."
