"Professor McGonagall, Dementors are running wild outside the school again!" Harry, Ron, Hermione, and Neville said urgently after arriving at McGonagall's office.
They had few classes that day, so after lunch, they had gone to Hagrid's Hut to visit Hagrid. Instead, they discovered Dementors flying out of the Forbidden Forest and hurried to find Professor McGonagall.
McGonagall frowned, rose to her feet, and looked out the window. From this window, she could see the area around Hagrid's Hut.
"There really are Dementors..." McGonagall looked shocked. She could see small black specks dancing through the air in that direction. They were Dementors.
The students did not yet know that the Dementors stationed in Hogsmeade Village to guard Hogwarts had already been withdrawn.
They had captured many Death Eaters in the Forbidden Forest last time, and those Dementors had been transferred to the Ministry of Magic to guard the Death Eaters in temporary cells.
What she had not expected was that these Dementors were not the ones transferred by the Ministry of Magic, but the ones originally left behind in Azkaban!
"The Ministry of Magic moved the Dementors back again? Why wasn't I notified? And they're flying around everywhere!" Professor McGonagall considered the class schedules and activities for every year. "Then this afternoon's Flying Class and Quidditch practice match will have to be canceled."
