Why was Uranus judged to be stubborn and reckless?

Simply put, he thought he was back in fighting shape and went for another round.

Otherwise, there was no explaining why he'd come out to fight Cronus when he knew full well Zeus might be hiding nearby.

Unfortunately, he got beaten up again!

As a loser in the God Realm, even when he was at an absolute disadvantage, he still couldn't shake his habit of running his mouth.

As a "soft and squishy" god of the sky, keeping up his defiant front was the last bit of pride he had.

Cronus also knew Zeus was lurking in the shadows, waiting for an opportunity. But his old man was determined to avenge the loss of his manhood, and Cronus couldn't get him to calm down. So all he could do was beat him up.

The world wasn't full of cool-headed people. Often, all it took to win was staying a little calmer than the other guy.

The Titan Gods were the very model of beings who relied on their physical superiority to do whatever they pleased. The two of them were going at it head-on, and then Zeus would swoop in to finish them off. It wasn't an unusual scenario.

In Zeus's imagination, the two opponents would fight like beasts to the death, wrecking each other's bodies and draining each other's divine power until they were utterly exhausted. With their health bars now down to a sliver, they should have been completely panicked at the appearance of their dear son—or grandson.

Zeus had imagined them continuing to fight to the death, or splitting up and fleeing the moment they realized things had gone wrong. They might even suddenly turn on him, Zeus, and join forces against him.
