Background / History

Nüwa and her elder brother Fuxi were Innate Gods nurtured within a hidden Innate Great Array near Mount Buzhou. Before taking form, the Sha Qi and Resentment Qi pervading the early Primordial Wilderness clouded their minds; the purification of the surrounding world gave them rare clarity. When Fuxi attempted to divine an unknown existence, the backlash warned him that it had transcended the River of Fate and could not be discussed. That existence, Lei Jun, briefly observed them and unknowingly left Nüwa a spark of opportunity through which she could comprehend his Dao and methods. 3

The opportunity stemmed from Lei Jun's past-life connection to humanity and his karmic association with Nüwa as the future Holy Mother of humanity. Rather than sever it, Lei Jun allowed it to remain, believing that it would repay her future grace of creating humanity while settling their karmic ties. 4

When Lei Jun incarnated as the Human Dao, Nüwa was shaken from seclusion alongside Fuxi. She sensed that the Human Dao's birth held a distinct, greater fortune specifically connected to her, although she could not yet understand its nature. The earlier thread of opportunity had already allowed her cultivation to outpace Fuxi's by a considerable margin. 28

Immortal Mountain and Seeking Dao Academy

Nüwa followed her opportunity to the Immortal Mountain with Fuxi and Houtu. She alone sensed Creation within its Stone Steps. Upon stepping onto the first one, her cultivation was sealed and she entered a duel arena against a Heavenly Immortal-level Fierce Beast. She recognized that the trial required Dao comprehension rather than force, created a living beast to defeat the opponent, and gained a deeper understanding of Creation. 42

Each successive Stone Step presented another challenge and advanced her cultivation. By the time she reached the summit, she had comprehended the Dao of Creation and risen from peak Da Luo to near the late stage of the Golden Immortal of the Origin. 42

At the summit, Nüwa entered Seeking Dao Academy, where Zi Ling brought her before Lei Jun. Lei Jun restored her awareness of their earlier encounter and revealed that the Heavenly Dao had erased traces of his existence to correct Fate's trajectory. He then raised the possibility that another Nüwa—and even another Primordial Wilderness—might exist. 43 44

Nüwa chose to remain in the Academy to seek the truth through cultivation. In its Book Pavilion, the Dao of Creation resonated with her and led her to the Book of Creation, an Innate Supreme Treasure containing that Dao. She resolved to cultivate Creation as her sole path among the Three Thousand Great Daos. 44

Personality

Nüwa is cautious and respectful before beings whose strength exceeds her understanding. Upon reaching Seeking Dao Academy, she considered retreating after sensing the willow tree's unfathomable cultivation, but reasoned that an existence so far above her would not need elaborate means to harm her. 42

She possesses exceptional insight and decisiveness. Faced with the Stone Steps' sealed-realm trial, she quickly understood that Creation—not direct combat—was the answer. After learning of the possibility of another self, she did not pretend to understand matters beyond her realm and instead asked Lei Jun for guidance. 42 43

Nüwa is also determined and competitive. She regarded the Academy as a greater opportunity than the Heaven Beyond Heaven and resolved to seek the truth of her existence by strengthening herself, if not for herself, then for Lei Jun's expectations. 44
