"Hmm? That's how it is. But what does that have to do with anything? I've already decided that you're my new disciple. You'll be a Hassan from now on! But to prepare you mentally, I can consider adding a middle name. Hassan Shirou bin Emiya Sabah. Hmm, not bad. I really am excellent at naming things."
"Isn't that just my name broken apart and stuffed into Hassan's name?"
King Hassan, having been seen through, paid it no mind—though in truth, he was mortified. He ignored Shirou.
"Heh heh, I won't burden you any further. It's better to keep things simple and direct. Are you really not considering joining the ranks of the Hassans?"
"No, guna!" Shirou would absolutely never join the Hassans! Never!
Lancer's Luck E could still be saved. As the saying went, all spearmen under heaven shared one stone of luck, while Zhao Yun monopolized eight pecks of it—at least two pecks remained!
But Hassan.
Even combined, they did not have one peck.
Perhaps the more of them there were, the less luck they had—because they were all Luck E.
King Hassan gave an embarrassed smile through Shirou's body, then raised the greatsword and slashed forward.
"Listen well. The Evening Bell has revealed your name. Feather of Death—sever the head, Angel of Death (Azrael)!"
Author's Note:
Hahahahahahahahaha, King Hassan is back. Didn't expect that, did you?
Chapter 18: Sword of Victorious Gold!
After killing Berserker once again, Shirou panted heavily as he held an Assassin card.
Maintaining King Hassan's summoned form was simply too difficult.
King Hassan's attacks actually consumed very little mana. The mana required for one NP was not even as much as a single use of Imaginary Numbers.
But maintaining this form and launching attacks was truly exhausting.
Summoning the Old Man of the Mountain was actually similar to summoning a Servant in a Holy Grail War from another parallel world. As a result, Phantasmal Summon (Install), which originally did not require much mana, instantly became far more costly.
The fallen Berserker stood up once more, drew his Axe Sword, and slashed at Shirou.
Berserker's greatest strength was that he could not be killed, and his base attributes alone were powerful enough to suffocate anyone.
Furthermore, Berserker had fought Saber to a standstill through martial skill alone. For any card wielder other than Gilgamesh to solo Berserker's twelve lives, even fighting for three days and three nights might not be enough to kill him.
But...
Self-Sealing Blood Temple!
Blood formed a magic circle before Sakura, all of it used as magical material to fill it.
Strategist's Counsel, Strategist's Command, Discernment Eye—your NP is full. Get in there!
White light enveloped Berserker. Repeating this process, they had already killed him nine times. He only had three lives left!
So far, this tactic had been extremely successful.
Every time Berserker revived, there was an obvious prelude. As long as they firmly seized that opening and unleashed a powerful attack at the instant of each revival, that was enough!
"Hit him! Keep hitting him! Wonderful, beautiful!" Shirou, who had no strength left, watched Sakura beat Berserker senseless with great relish.
