Background and History

The Nine Heavens and Ten Lands were originally the complete Primitive Ancient World. During the Immortal Ancient Era, it fought a war against the Other Realm so destructive that True Immortals died and Immortal Kings bled. Although Immortal Realm powerhouses, including Immortal Kings, entered the conflict as reinforcements, the Primitive Ancient World was shattered; its surviving ancient domains became the nineteen worlds of the Nine Heavens and Ten Lands. 24

Before the shattering, the Primitive Ancient World was exceptionally powerful and was approaching the Other Realm's overall strength. It possessed figures such as the Wuzhong Immortal King, the Six Paths Reincarnation Immortal King, the Ten Fiends, and the Seven Kings of the Barren Lands. 77

Afterward, the Immortal Domain helped refine the Heavenly Abyss between the Nine Heavens and Ten Lands and the Other Realm. The barrier protected the Immortal Domain from direct contact with the Other Realm, but it was also created from the Nine Heavens and Ten Lands' laws and continuously drained the realm's origin. This left its Great Dao incomplete and prevented new Immortal Dao experts from arising. 77 83

Cultivation System

The Nine Heavens and Ten Lands use a cultivation system divided into the Human Dao Domain and the higher Immortal Dao Domain. Its foundational stages are treated as more refined than the power systems brought by outsiders. 25 37

The defenders briefly resist through the Original Imperial City and the efforts of figures such as Meng Tianzheng. However, the arrival of Other Realm Immortal Kings An Lan and Yu Tuo turns the battle into a realm-wide catastrophe. 113 114
