Not only had they refrained from robbing them, they had treated their wounds and were even going to feed them afterward... What wonderful people!
They hardly seemed like pirates. They were more like a band of kindhearted adventurers.
"It's nothing. Don't worry about it," Chopper said with a smile.
"Chopper, should I put this here?" Merry asked, holding a roll of gauze.
"Yep."
"Okay, I'll leave it here."
After putting the gauze in the box, Merry sat on a nearby stool, swinging her legs as she watched Chopper tend to the patients' wounds.
Xi Yan, meanwhile, leaned against the wall and watched them in silence.
"Could you please stop looking at us like that?" Dobi asked, swallowing hard.
Beads of sweat had appeared on the face of the chubby man in sunglasses. Xi Yan was clearly putting him under enormous pressure.
Dobi didn't know why, but Xi Yan's gaze felt like a blade hanging over his head, ready to fall at any moment.
"I'm not trying to pressure you," Xi Yan said with a teasing smile. "Why does my looking at you make you so uncomfortable?"
"Or do you have something to hide?"
The words jolted everyone there. It felt as though he had seen straight through them.
